Yes, they want to go backward, but what is backward when it comes to the current GOP thought process?
I can tell you what it isn't. It isn't conservative. This is the GOP NC governor nominee Mark Robinson. Can you please explain how this is fighting for social change?
Sometimes I swear they know their followers don't listen to what they are actually saying.
I mean...is he saying let's go back to lynching so the GOP can stop lynching?
Let's go back to pre-civil war because the republicans wanted to abolish Slavery? That party no longer exists. I don't see Democrats embracing the members of the South who left after the Civil Rights Act was passed in '64. Hell, LBJ said we'd lose the South for a generation. Civil rights were more important and he knew it.
Am I getting this wrong?

My hope is that Robinson will fall on his face. If he gets in office, perhaps the rest of the country can take away events - sports events, conventions - in North Carolina.
