Good Morning.

Congratulations to the newest crop of Veterans in the United States. And a big "Thank You" to our Dear Leader, President Trump, for enabling me to write this column for the rest of my natural life!

I think all I can do now is lament. There's hardly anything to write about this topic anymore. Proving the point that the United States is a nation of war - do remember that this column was born during the Bush Presidency, after our Mother Program 'Unfiltered' went off the air in 2005. With few exceptions, I have written this column every Tuesday since then. Incredibly coming up on our 21st year.

Some days I do hate being a student of history. Today is one of those days. Let's take a look at one of my favourite historic subjects, that being WWII. Here is a helpful timeline as provided by the fine AI folks at the Wikipedia.

1933 (Jan 30): Adolf Hitler becomes Chancellor of Germany; later quits the League of Nations.

1935 (Mar): Hitler violates the Treaty of Versailles by reintroducing conscription.

1935 (Oct): Italy invades Abyssinia.

1936 (Mar): Germany reoccupies the Rhineland, violating the Versailles treaty.

1936 (Jul): The Spanish Civil War begins, acting as a "dress rehearsal" for WWII.

1936 (Nov): Germany and Italy sign the Rome-Berlin Axis.

1937 (Jul): Japan invades China after the Marco Polo Bridge incident.

1938 (Mar): Germany annexes Austria (Anschluss).

1938 (Sep): The Munich Agreement allows Germany to annex the Sudetenland from Czechoslovakia.

1939 (Mar): Germany violates the Munich agreement, occupying the rest of Czechoslovakia.

1939 (Aug 23): Germany and the Soviet Union sign the Molotov-Ribbentrop Non-Aggression Pact.

1939 (Sep 1): Germany invades Poland.

1939 (Sep 3): Great Britain and France declare war on Germany

Only the names have changed. I would think we are somewhere around 1938 on this list.

There is one other historic incident to consider, from the other side of the world.

June 4, 1989.

Consider the very large protests that will happen around the United States on March 28. That is a very long time from now, so many things can happen and change before then. It would not surprise me in the least if one or more of the protests in a high-profile city were broken up violently.

Of course, I always point to my local events that happened nearby on April 19, 1775.

Since Congress is powerless, and the rest of the world is in full appeasement mode, the only remedy left to us is via the Second Amendment.

That is all.
