All things are possible

One thing I know, JKF and RFK are remembered most for what might have been possible. Senator Kennedy will be remembered for all that he made possible.

If you were a student dependant on federal loans to attend college, Senator Kennedy was there for you. If you use a wheelchair you are protected from workplace discrimination; the Americans with Disabilities Act is law because of Senator Kennedy.

If you can barely scrape by on minimum wage, understand it could be much worse if it were not for Teddy's tireless fight on behalf of the working poor. If you or someone you love has HIV/AIDS, Senator Kennedy was there for you, as he was instrumental in the passage of the Ryan White Care Act. Rude Pundit has an unusually NOT rude post on the Kennedy Legacy.

He was a tireless advocate for the poor, the mentally ill, children, women, and civil rights. He could have could have spent his life on his boat, sailing away his days. No one would blame him after losing so many loved ones. That was not Ted Kennedy's passion. He lived to serve his state and this country. Thank you Massachusetts for sharing him with us.

He did it so well. RIP Senator Kennedy. Your legacy is an inspiration to us all.

He was the brother that accomplished the most, the brother that survived, the brother that found his life's work and his life's passion with many trials and tribulations in between. His brothers are always spoken about with the idea of what may have been if they lived, But Senator is the reality of a lifetime of achievements, a legacy that will live on.

“May the road rise up to meet you,
may the wind be ever at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face and the rain fall softly on your fields.
And until we meet again,
May God hold you in the hollow of his hand.”

How many times has she done this?

Organizers of an Anchorage event that has been billing Sarah Palin for weeks as a star speaker were left scrambling Wednesday after learning that the former governor won't be there for tonight's event and claims to have never been asked.

For all that talk about the brilliance of her move -- and all the punditry on her political career, I really think this woman is simply mentally unstable. This is the same thing she did a few weeks ago when she failed to speak at some fundraiser at the Reagan Library. She claimed she was never asked.

Think so, thought my Mom said there was one last sister and she's like in her 80's.

Today's funny comes to us courtesy of the Facebook group "Put Christ Back Into Schools Discussions".

If a tadpole is still turning into a frog and a catapiller into a butterfly, then why are apes not still turning into human?

Batshit Crazy Michelle is at it again....
According to The Minnesota Independent, Bachmann implored those on the line to "pray, fast, believe, trust the Lord, but also act." She also praised claims by Sarah Palin that the reform legislation would create "death panels."

They should team up and run for president in 2012. They'd siphon off all the crazy vote so that rational people would be selecting the president.

EDIT: Or team up and do a porno

Town Hall Lunacy Includes Outraged Calls to 'Keep Government Out of Medicare,'

For kripessake.

My Father said to me yesterday that he wants Government out of his life --- I had to remind him that he takes a SS check and is on Medicare. His response? I paid for that...

My father is this dense. Which is one of the reasons I'd refuse to talk to him (even if I hadn't already disowned him for other shit).

Good morning everyone.

I actually went to bed at Quarter to 2 which is the earliest I've been to bed in a while and I stll ended up sleeping late. Maybe it will end up getting the cold out of my system.

Morning - well, if you sleep till 10 thats only 8 hours and thats what we all should have. Try not to think of it as sleepling late, just that you have an different sleep schedule.

Sleeping though is a good way to get through a cold, that a lots of tea and TV

Here's a "colorful" response from one of the gaming gang (slightly censored)..

But to be fair I'd ask why that magical f**s in the sky stopped doing magic tricks all of a sudden. He was all about fish and wine and turning n**s into salt back in the day. Wuz up wit dat. God just stopped cause he felt like it? I mean even Puffy told you that he wont stop.

Good morning, bloggers! Excellent post, Raine!

Clinster, Rose Kennedy died in 1995. Her daughter, Rosemary Kennedy, died in 2005. Eunice Kennedy Shriver died this month, and it must truly be a hard time for the Kennedy family.

On some lighter news, Jeff Farias will be filling in for Randi Rhodes today. Herb Sarge Phelps will be filling in for Jeff at 3 PM Pacific/6 PM Pacific on

The Jeff Farias Show and on Roots Up Radio. I will run the boards for Sarge today and answer your calls.

Thanks for the info on Rose and Rosemary. I was watching a retrospective last night, and they talked about a plane crash that almost killed Teddy in '64. This was something I had not head of before, and it shook me a little to realize that he almost perished less than a year after John. Just imagine how things might have been different in this nation had all the Kennedy brothers had passed by 1968.
