Or, if you'r e a Fox "News" viewer: We've Lost Our Freedoms.

Passage of this bill, which many are already comparing to the landmark passing of Social Security, is victory for President Barack Obama. It is also a clear sign of how divided our country remains - as the Democratic-controlled House narrowly passed the bill Saturday night in a count of 220 - 215.

H.R. 3962 expands health care coverage to tens of millions who lack it and puts tough new restrictions on the insurance industry. Only one lone Republican voted for it.

Rep. John Dingell, the 83-year-old Michigan lawmaker who has introduced national health insurance in every Congress since succeeding his father in 1955 said of the passagage:

It provides coverage for 96 percent of Americans. It offers everyone, regardless of health or income, the peace of mind that comes from knowing they will have access to affordable health care when they need it.

Here is how the vote went down. I have letters going out to all the Dems that voted against it, as well as a very nice thank you letter to Rep Joseph Cao the only Republican brave enough to put America before party.

How House Dems voted.

I am really disappointed in a few of them. but what is interesting is that many of them came form districts that voted for McCain. You are right Velveeta about how divided this country really is. Sad.

I wonder how many other Dems besides Kucinich voted against the bill because wasn't what they wanted? They need to understand that sometimes it takes more than one step to get to your destination.

We didn't reach the moon on our first rocket launch either.

Hello everyone.

I spent this weekend catching up with my old crew from the college station for the 50th anniversary. I got to hang out with some people I haven't seen in many years and it was good to catch up on old times. And then I come home and watch the Giants choke again. This is really not going well through them.
