Former FLOTUS, Former Senator and Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton has announced that she is running for the Democratic Party's nomination.

There has been a steady drumbeat from the media and pundits since (at the very least) she stepped down from the State Department.

I just read this article explaining the journey she took to making the decision to Run for President.

It's a great announcement video.

I am still watching and waiting to see who else tosses their hat into the ring. I enjoy a full honest open and vigorous debate for our parties nominee and that includes choice. We had that in 2008, and sadly it was quite ugly at the end. It's a relief to know that her organization has shed people like Mark Penn and other terrible advisers. I have said it before — the way she ran that last campaign really turned me off.

She was a spectacular Secretary of State and while I was put off by her hawkish stance as Candidate Clinton, I hope that experience has helped to soften her views on foreign policy. Watching our current President use diplomacy instead of saber-rattling has been wonderful to see. I want more of that.

I am also awaiting the onslaught of sexism and misogyny to be tossed her way. I have made no decision yet, but I will vote for whoever my party nominates. There are many many reasons why, including this:

There is no question that I would never ever vote for any of these potential nominees:

The sad thing is that there are people who would choose lunacy over true and real qualifications for the Office of President of the United States of America. Agree with her or not, she's got the resume and experience and she does represent going forward.
