Let me start right out by saying how surprised I am that Elizabeth Warren has yet to receive a "package".
Let's go right to the President of the United States and see what he has to say about the entire affair.
"But the bottom line is that Americans must unify, and we must show the world that we are united together in peace and love and harmony as fellow American citizens," Trump said at the White House. "There is no country like our country, and every day we are showing the world just how truly great we are."
Ordinarily, this would be an unfortunately routine, yet quite presidential statement. Except for where it's coming from. It's perhaps telling that elsewhere in the story referenced, it succinctly states: Trump's remarks, read from a teleprompter....
We knew this all along - he is a caricature of a President, and empty shell that has no substance or gravitas. Calling him a 'puppet' is actually derogatory towards puppets, but when he is lucid, you know he is regurgitating something that was force-fed to him.
Any rhetoric now is too little, too late. Of course, even a trite statement will only fuel the fires of division further. Vast stretches of his base are looking at each other smugly and stating, "they got what they deserved. Too bad none of them went off." Other parts of the country are thinking, "Shut up, you Fucktard - this isn't helping".
I drive past the graves of John Hancock and Sam Adams nearly every day at work. You should see the power generating station this city is building over the Granary Burying Ground to take advantage of those whirring sarcophagi.
