As you may have seen, we spent the weekend in NYC. We went to the Met, the Brooklyn Museum of Art and The Cloisters. While I stayed a bit in tune with the happenings back in DC, I was largely unconnected from politics and very connected to the arts, and the company of our hosts, and dear friends. In all my years living in New York, I'd never gotten to the Cloisters. The story behind it is amazing
It was food for the soul. It also puts things into perspective. For thousands of years, countries have been ruled with both dictators and philanthropic leaders. It's almost a human cycle. We are blessed to have the right to say we are citizens of this Nation.
Anyway, when you need to breathe, go, find, and visit beauty.
