Asking for a Friend

We are 69 days away until President-Elect Joseph Biden takes his rightful position as the 46th President of the United States of America.
I'm not counting, but a lot of people are.
Since the day after the final votes were submitted, it occurs to me that while insanity is still swirling around, and with the occupant, one thing has not happened.
I haven't had to hear his voice. He's only been seen once, yesterday at Arlington Cemetery. He has said nothing in public and there are no other video of him since yesterday. I'm liking that sweet relief. It's almost a precursor to when we won't have to think about a President almost every hour 24/7.
A few days a go, the office of the VP announced that Pence would be heading to Florida for a vacation -- well earned I suppose considering some 240,000 people are dead and just yesterday 145,000 new cases were diagnosed. However, things changed when this announcement was revealed yesterday:
Is it really a vacation when you have lunch with your boss one day into said vacation? I'm asking for a friend because I think something is afoot. Then again, who knows with all of this insanity? We are almost to the weekend! Stay safe and please wear a mask.
