Last Minute Delivery

The bags are packed. We have our EU vaccination pass. We both got tested. Our train tickets are in order and our flight to France is ready to go. We have been given the all-clear for travel with one teeny tiny exception.

We were told the results would come in between 12 to 24 hours. Bob got his results back about14 hours after we were swabbed. He negative. I am sitting here waiting for an email confirmation to say I am as well. I must have refreshed my Gmail account a hundred times since I woke up this morning at 6 am. The testing site said they would only call if a positive test result came in. I have no missed calls on my phone.

Needless to say, I am on pins and needles right now. Our entire trip planned months and months ago, could all be canceled at a moment's notice. This is sickening, nerve-wracking, and infuriating. It shouldn't have to be like this. We all know why it is like this.

This is what becomes of people being responsible and caring about others who do not care at all. I don't have much to say that I haven't already said here on this blog in the past.

I hope that the email comes soon. Maybe it was sent to a wrong address. I hope by the time this is posted it will have been sent. I'll make the call when we hit the 24-hour deadline.

We'll know if we are leaving or staying in a short time. Talk about a last-minute delivery.
