Good morning!
Well, guess what I did today?
I bought a car!
No, not really.
But I am a co-signer on a loan for a 2018 Nissan Altima. Javi is taking another step into a larger world.
Fortunately, as a soon-to-be college graduate, he qualifies for the "New Graduate" special, which is a cut-rate interest loan, saving nearly $100/month in the process. So yay for him!
Otherwise - not much to report in the Trisec compound.
All is well in these parts, except for the weather. You may have seen some memory posts on my Book of Face; all of them over the last few days have been of past snowstorms.
While it is a seasonable 30 degrees today, tomorrow we're right back towards 50, and no serious cold spell in sight. It's been a hell of a spring this winter.
Climate change much?
It is also hiring season in these parts - anybody want to relocate to Boston and learn how to drive a trolley and give our tour? (Not impossible - one of our best is originally from Mobile, Alabama.) Bonus, guess who would train you?
Obviously, I had today off; I was in Providence this morning. Cooking a big vat of Asian beef and noodles tonight, and enjoying a fine martini as we speak.
It's Beefeater Gin; my late mother's favourite. I did toast her with it this evening. It's been seven years already.
But more astonishing to me...I stood at the gravesite of my grandparents the other night. This June 2 will mark 30 years since Grandpa's passing.
I shed a tear even now as I type this. Time marches on; it's coming for all of us one day.
