Selling Garbage to Weasels

The Orange Menace (aka TFG) is the gift that keeps on giving... like herpes. You keep hoping he'll go away, but he keeps popping up like cold sore on the lip of the body politic. He's being aided in this by the usual anal fissures likely suspects.
By this point, everyone knows about the Dominion lawsuit against FOX "News" (fake & unbalanced), wherein the hosts at that cesspool were pushing the stolen election narrative in public, while privately talking about how crazy it was and how stupid TFG is. That list of hosts includes Fucker Carlson.
It's odd, then that Fucker is still selling the MAGA mindset meme of white nationalist insanity. The only logical conclusion is that he's a True Believer (in White Supremacy). This time, though, he's taken it a step too far. He huddled up with House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) to pick out a few short snippets of the footage where no violence is taking place, and extrapolated that the entire Jan 06 coup attempt was actually just tourists who love the Capitol strolling around. The footage of police being attacked, windows being smashed, rioters screaming at and assaulting police ended up on the cutting room floor.
That was too much even for Senate Republicans, who are calling Fucker a liar:
Naturally, Fucker wasn't going to take that lying down, and has asked viewers to make a list of the names of politicians who criticize him. Hmm... informing on your enemies... gaslighting via the media... this certainly strikes a bell - what could I be thinking of?
The DOJ was also not amused by Fucker's blatant and purposefully dishonest narrative. Apparently, some defendants still in the court process are petitioning for delays so they can review the 40K+ hours of footage to find some little tidbit that might cast their violent attempt to overthrow the government in a better light. The DOJ says sorry Charlie - that's not happening.
Meanwhile, TFG is still out there trying to keep himself relevant, and keep those campaign contributions coming in (so he can scam them up for personal use). He's even saying the quiet part out loud:

Senate Republicans blasted Fox News on Tuesday for airing a show that twisted details of the January 2021 attack on the U.S. Capitol into a conspiracy-fueled narrative, breaking ranks with House GOP colleagues who cheered on the show.
