The big story is almost no longer a big story. On Monday, a school shooter killed 3 kids and 3 school administrators in a Nashville suburban Christian school. The usual "thoughts & prayers" were trotted out by those who were more concerned about the negative press on guns than they were about the kids being shot. We are about to move on from it to some other story of the day, likely involving the Grand Jury and TFG.

The NRA-supporters love to claim that the problem isn't guns, but mental health. Let's take a look at that:

The school shooter was under a Dr.'s care for "emotional disorder"...

Republicans voted against the 2022 Mental Health Matters Act...

The shooter purchased seven guns legally, despite being a literal "mental case"...

So they're being hypocrites?.... again? Yet suddenly the story is about the brave brave officers who weren't a bunch of pussies like those cops in Uvalde, TX. Wow, that's... a horrible distraction from the sheer insanity of the "guns are more important than children" ethos of the RW in general, and the NRA-cultists in particular.

Those nuts include MTG, who (surprisingly) has been banned by Twitter for repeatedly reposting an anti-LGBTQ post. The post in question was about something called a "Trans Day of Vengeance". Naturally, she is shocked - SHOCKED! - that there is a small group of trans activists looking to protect themselves from the RW who have gone out of their way to dehumanize them.

It's tiresome that these people will go to great lengths to outlaw abortion, but are okay with the gun insanity. We've said before that they care more about a clump of cells, and immediately lose interest once the cells eventually become a born human. Once they're in grade school, well they're on their own. Pick up a gun and shoot back, you worthless little tots!

One has to wonder what they're response would be to someone who used a gun to perform an abortion?
