Okay so sometimes, well, often, the news organizations get things wrong or leave out important little details to stories. I know, SHOCKING. It's our jobs as citizens to help them out (straighten them out). This couldn't have been clearer with the recent faux pas by George Stephanopoulos on GMA when he let "America's Mayor" say some pretty stupid things, namely, that "we never had an attack under George W. Bush".

We need to speak up en masse when they fuck, er, forget their jobs. So keep these numbers handy people: (a few may be out of date, but I'll try to update them asap).

UPDATE: In tiny print over at the ABC website, I see that George has reacted to the bad press he's getting over the Rudy "interview" and has issued some sort of explanation.

The Mayor’s spokesman says that the remark “didn't come across as it was intended” and that Giuliani was “clearly talking post-9/11 with regards to Islamic terrorist attacks on our soil.”

Whatever the Mayor meant, it’s not what he said. All of you who have pointed out that I should have pressed him on that misstatement in the moment are right. My mistake, my responsibility.

Yourmistake ! Really? Isn't that your JOB? If any of us regular people made a major blunder like that at our jobs, we'd be fired.
"Oh, was I supposed to count the money before it went into the cash register and then give the customer the correct change? Oops, my mistake....."

"I forgot to turn the water on to put out the fire.... sorry."

"Hmm, I can't remember, do I release the water valve when the level at the dam is too high or too low?"

"Uh oh, I forgot to pull the lever to divert the train off the wrong track, oh well, he'll figure it out... eventually."
