Indicated Prologue

Tomorrow is going to be an interesting day. And truthfully, I am of two thoughts. One is worry and concern about what will happen in NYC after the indictment of TFG is unsealed. The other thought is that his cult is probably convinced that NYC is a crime-ridden hellhole. Thus, they are probably too scared and too broke to show up in lower Manhattan.

If the past is prologue, I find myself more concerned about unrest than the other thought. I sent a message to friends of ours who live in Charlottesville Virginia on August 12, 2017. It was at 10 am in the morning. "Stay safe today, friend. " I said. She replied "Sigh. Safe. But sad." The city had been besieged by members of the alt-right, neo-Confederates, neo-fascists, white nationalists, neo-Nazis, Klansmen, and far-right militias. It was the second day of the infamous Unite The Right Rally.
On the morning of August 12, Virginia governor Terry McAuliffe declared a state of emergency, stating that public safety could not be safeguarded without additional powers. Within an hour, at 11:22 a.m., the Virginia State Police declared the rally to be an unlawful assembly.

At around 1:45 p.m., self-identified white supremacist James Alex Fields Jr. deliberately rammed his car into a crowd of counter-protesters about 1/2 mile (800 m) away from the rally site, killing Heather Heyer and injuring 35 other people. Fields fled the scene in his car but was arrested soon afterward.
My concern was not unfounded. Fast forward to January 5, 2020. There was a strange aura to this region. There were rumblings and strange happenings. The next day we would witness a violent insurrection in DC. Hundreds were injured and people died.

I remember seeing strange aircraft that day as well. We live near Andrews AFB so I see lots of helicopters and occasionally that Blue and White plane sometimes call AF1. The aircraft I saw that day were different. Again, it turns out my concern was not unfounded. The local news radio station had the story before the national news did, they were trying to overturn the election with bloody results. I was scared. Even though we don't live in DC proper, there are hotels near us and I wondered if there were traitors in our backyard. I felt a similar feeling when I was stuck in NYC on 9/11 -- fear of the unknown.

I hope my concerns do not come to fruition but his supporters have a history. The NYPD knows how to handle this sort of spectacle of that I have no doubt. I hope other states, particularly the Capitols are on alert for what may happen in the days, weeks, and months after the indictment is revealed.

And this is just the first case to bump up against the justice system. Buckle up, friends. Stay vigilant!
