Good morning.
We're about two weeks into it here at Bentley, and I've noticed something different about the student population this year - particularly the foreign students.
Last year, there were plenty of overseas students. Plenty of Indians and Pakistanis, more than a few Asians (mostly Japanese), one Italian guy that rode my bus, and of course, plenty of Spanish being spoken everywhere on the campus.
This season - only a handful of Indians remain. The Asian crew is mostly unchanged (some new faces), but everyone else is gone.
Granted - there could be graduation and transfers involved here, but I certainly noticed the difference.
You know who is here this year? Russians. I am a student of the language, so I recognize it in open air.
Curious, indeed.
A few more thoughts about it are on my substack today.
