A sorry little blog. Author: TriSecDate:03/13/2010 11:42:09
Good Morning!
An early start on a Saturday, but I'm off for some necessary auto maintenence in an oil change and a tire rotation. Trying to be the first one in the shop so I can get out right quick.
So.....just a weekend stublet. I might come back and expand upon it later, but I wanted something open in the interim.
Myself I'm out for breakfast then get a couple of groceries, I try to keep Saturday as much a do-nothing day as possible to recover from the week.
My nephew is flying in tonight from MS, and I have no doubt the 40-50mph winds tonight are going to delay things.

And finally back. Like most things, turns out my simple excursion to the auto-man was more expensive than I was expecting.
Radiator needed work; a hose had split and was leaking all over the engine compartment. But fortunately caught early before having an embarassment on the traffic report Monday morning.
And speaking of racing....not so good last night. Of five races, we had two firsts, a second, and two thirds. Not going to District this year.
It's sucktacular around here today...going to stay in and make cookies and watch movies.

Cookies sound good.
I guess if I didn't have to be at work I would have just slept in today. Kittie wanted a lot of loving and attention before I left the house.

I did watch a squadron of Mark-I Canada Geese takeoff from the River Chuck earlier today...they had a rather steep angle of departure and I had an idle, av-dork thought....
Do birds ever have a departure stall?

Well, we were supposed to go to a birthday party today, but the guest of honor came up sick; it's been postponned to next week.
Finally watched Wall-e today....(with a Manhattan and popcorn, I highly recommend that.) I don't see what the big deal was for the neo-cons.
And now we're on to Biftek Saute Bercy with mashed tater & broccoli, and a fine California Cabernet Sauvignon.
