Done!
This was a whirlwind weekend of shopping, wrapping printing and prepping. I am exhausted-- I am sure I am not alone.

Also on the weekend docket: The repeal of DADT. The DREAM Act has stalled -- and Screw you 9/11 responders.

I will be back shortly with More, until then, let's chat!

and
Raine

Morning all.

My brain hurts. No sleep. Damn Sunday Night Football.

Looks like FreeRepublic has gone totally apeshiat over DADT and is on a purity purge.

I am surprised that Mitch McConnell loves nuclear war more than he loves the baby Jesus.

Ah, well. What would Jesus Nuke, anyway?

(btw....a mysterious package arrived on my doorstep this weekend.)

DADT:

Making the yuletide gay wasn't enough, eh?

Ya know, I'm waiting for some right-wing wag to photoshop us a pink tank.

Pink warbirds notwithstanding.

Nope. No snow here in charming Metrowest.

It all went down the Cape.

Look, I know everyone hates the Pats, but an offensive lineman lumbering 71 yards with the ball had to give you at least a wee little smile.

My landlord was laughing like crazy at that play.. It's not too often you see a freight train moving that fast in these parts!

And uhh what the hell @ the Giants man? Most epic 4th quarter collapse ever.

This progressive cruise is sounding really good this year

That game last night screamed "trap game" with a young defense probably full of itself after 2 cake walks and facing a QB starting his first game. Damn lucky they won that one.

I have to tell you I laughed so hard at the Giants I gave myself a splitting headache. My brother-in-law kept saying "you're looking at the best team in the NFL" then his jaw just dropped.

You heard it here first...I am actually looking forward to a footwear shift tonight. After the last two days on the men's floor...

But now desperation will be setting in.

"I'm sorry sir, we don't have any more slippers. All I have is this torn sock."

"I'LL TAKE IT!!!!!"

Good morning all.

At least I didn't sleep as late as yesterday although I could be bummed out over that Giants collapse or still surprised that the Jets beat the Steelers.

Good question although I probably do it differently since I drink soda but not coffee.

Sometimes I like to alternate, though this time of year the hot stuff will probably win out more often than not.

Well then, there's only one thing to do at this point.

It's obviously time for the first annual "4F Caffeine Death Drink-Off".

I'm joining in, but only because I had a bit too much Crown and Coke last night.

Hold the phone, guys. DADT repeal is meaningless unless UCMJ section 125 is overturned, too.

Gays can still be kicked out easily.

Afternoon all.

Last day (for me) to get Christmas shopping done! So, I'm already running around.... ack. Then, its work, work, work, all week long. Though Scrooge is giving us Christmas day off, God bless the Corporation.

Glad to hear Mrs. Tri's father is doing better. And thanks BobR for fixing my double blog posting yesterday.

*snort*

I just emailed the Catholic Church to start working on Scout Sunday. It's OK to wish them "Merry Christmas" right?

I sent my Blogger Joe out on Friday. Let's see what happens.

Everyone missed this one last night.. the Senate passed the long-filibustered food safety overhaul bill - BY UNANIMOUS CONSENT

In all seriousness, this has been the most positively productive Congress in over a decade.

Comment by TriSec on 12/20/2010 19:38:41
Now that we are at T-4 days and counting, I am listening to my selections of excellent Christmas music.

Of course, the best of the lot is Vince Guaraldi. (Charlie Brown Soundtrack.)

Number 2 on my list is Ellington's Sacred Concerts. Not really Christmas music, but our local jazz station used to play them annually on Christmas week.

Rounding out the top three is my two Boston Pops albums (Fiedler and Williams conducting, respectively.)

Nary a McCartney or a Little Drummer Boy among them.

From our friend, Mr. Rude:

Upon seeing on the CSPAN that the nation's stupid Don't Ask, Don't Tell policy regarding gays in the military had been overturned on Saturday, the Rude Pundit celebrated in the old way: by inviting a bunch of queer soldiers from every branch (even the Coast Guard) over to Casa de Rude for tequila, ecstasy, and more blow jobs and fingering than in the parking lot of your high school after the junior prom. By the detritus left behind, he knew it had been quite the celebration, even if his only memories involve repeatedly hearing orgasmic cries of "Hoo-ah" and watching a lesbian couple slow dance as a third sang, "Off we go into the wild blue yonder." On Sunday morning, the Christmas tree was festooned with empty condom wrappers, the three wise men in the Nativity were positioned as if they were fucking the camels and donkeys, the nutcracker's mouth was stuck shut, the poinsettia was uprooted, and the pantsless Marine still asleep in the tub had mistletoe tied to rest just below his belly button. A splendid Yuletide festival, indeed.

You know where the rest of his blog is.

Sounds like he's channeling one of my personal heroes, the late Mr. William Melvin Hicks.
