When he left, meanwhile, an R.J. Reynolds lobbyist, Rob Meyne, penned an internal memo on Cain's future prospects. Noting that Cain was considering a presidential run in 2000, he wrote: "Nice to have goals, huh?" Meyne outlined a number of perceived electoral strengths for Cain—African American, a compelling public speaker, good record as a businessman, etc.—but added that there were a few weaknesses which he would only share off-list:

We'd really love to know what the too-hot-for-email weaknesses were.

Good Morning, my fellow occultists and satan worshippers!
In addition to candy this evening, I'm handing out some voodoo screeds. It's my fervent hope to turn kids away from the Baby Jesus and steer them towards a life of hedonism and debauchery, in defiance of all goodshariabiblical law.
You?

Getting teabags ready to Teabag my "Don't tread on me" neighbors yard tonight. Is that wrong of me? I mean, I'm using the tea and the bags are biodegradable.

Home, we have power. No power at Mr. Rabbit's workplace.
First thing Dr said was "you don't have cancer"
Mrs. Rabbit has a bone fragment in her back pressing on some nerves. We'll see if a cortisone shot brings the inflammation down, but he said she's probably looking at back surgery sooner rather than later.
Dr. described it as a "shit back"

BTW the way, CRT's pup, Cloe passed away yesterday. She posted something about in on FB, but it was late. I only saw it because I was having some trouble getting to sleep.
Give her and Missus some love over the loss of the family member.

Question: Do you think people who are so adamant about not giving out "entitlements" to their fellow Americans, should be forced to give their land back to Native Americans?

Ybarra said her tickets did not mention who sponsored Hell House, nor did they provide any contact information. We found out the haunted house is operated by the Potters House Christian Fellowship Church in Pasadena.
Pastor Lamont Melrose says this haunted house isn't about scaring people with the idea of fake ghosts.
"The material we are using to scare people is reality," Melrose said. "We want to give people the horror of what it is to go through an abortion. We want to give people the horror of what it is to deal with a rebellious son that commits suicide."
Melrose explained that patrons aren't allowed to turn back because of safety concerns in the small, dark space.
He says the mission of Hell House is to lure people to Jesus by the end of the show.
At least one concerned mom has a big problem with that.
"You don't convert children like that. Tell them that they are going to Hell and things like that. You just don't do that," Ybarra said.

Now they're coming back for more, using DEFICIENCY JUDGMENTS to extract money from the families who were already robbed in the speculative bubble, and then lost their homes. A deficiency judgment says that if you borrowed $250,000 for a home worth only $100,000 in today's market, the bank can sue you for the other $150,000 of FAKE VALUE, despite the fact that you've given back the house, despite the fact the banks where made whole in the bail out, and despite the fact that the property has been re-sold.
Why is the government allowing these same criminals to sue the broken foreclosed homeowner for the exact amount that the banks created and stole twice already? Why is no one is stopping them?
What's even more sinister is the banks are now selling these "deficiency judgments" as debt packages that investors are buying as a quick money-maker. They buy a portfolio of thousands of underwater foreclosures (for pennies on the dollar) and on paper they've got more than a $100,000 owed to them from each and every defendant. They'll harass these people until any amount is paid and all that money is profit.

Ya know, not that long ago I attended a training class that was taught by a raging right-wing tool. After it became clear what his leanings were, I bit my tongue and still listened to what he had to say. (I paid for the training out-of-pocket.) At the end of the day, we had at least established that neither of us was going to change stripes, but because we were civil about it, there was grudging respect on both sides.
Funny how we're able to do that, but the other side seems unable to and would rather ban us outright.
The Texas Department of Public Safety, which oversees the concealed carry program, and licenses instructors, said in a statement that "certified instructors are required to comply with all applicable state and federal statutes, and conduct by an instructor that denied service to individuals on the basis of race, ethnicity, or religion would place that instructor's certification at risk."
A simple trip through Massachusetts on the train turned into an overnight stay for passengers of a Boston-bound train after a rockslide blocked the tracks in Palmer Saturday night as an unusually early nor’easter pounded the region.
The train never lost power and had plenty of food and water for the 48 passengers and crew, Amtrak spokeswoman Vernae Graham said. The train was stranded at 10 p.m. Saturday. At 10:50 a.m. Sunday, passengers left the train and were bused to Boston.
The train, Lake Shore Limited Train 448, originated in Chicago, according to a statement from Amtrak posted online this morning. CSX owns the tracks in the area, Graham said.
A CSX spokeswoman said this afternoon that the problem was weather-related and involved heavy snow and fallen trees.

See if you can tell what is wrong with this report from FNC.
So out here in Left Blogsylvania, we have offered as much moral and rhetorical support as we perhaps can to the Occupy Wall Street movement, with a good many of us actually going down to the various occupations and reporting and/or taking part (not being NPR-labeled "journalists" allows us to do so). But winter's coming, fast up here in the Northeast. And while the Rude Pundit is convinced that the true flourishing of the Occupy movement will occur next spring (and into the awful summer and awfuller fall of an election year), there's a core of the protesters who are gonna stay, no matter what.
Here's what the Rude Pundit proposes, an action in the spirit of OWS:
On Friday, November 25, the day after Thanksgiving, Black Friday, the biggest shopping day of the year, as marketers force us to know, let's give to our local Occupy encampments what they need to stay warm for the winter.
The deal: check out your local Occupy website. There's a list of all the things they need in order to flat out survive into the spring.
Bring stuff to keep 'em all warm through the cold nights since they are doing the hard, hard work of creating the foundation for genuinely forcing change in the political dialogue and the economic stratification of the United States (and around the world).
On November 25th, as a show of general support, we'll meet to give as large a donation as possible in person at the occupation areas (or where the supplies are kept). Each city could have a meeting place and time for the donors.
Speaking of marketing, we could call this "Blanket the Earth." We could organize this on, say, a Facebook page or perhaps a Twitter feed or a hastag.
The Rude Pundit's gonna see if he can get some of his blogging friends and others involved. And you should do the same. It's a simple gesture, an inexpensive one (a pair of socks would be awesome or even the donation of secondhand stuff), and one that opposes the hyper-materialism of the date.

Aren't corporate executives suppose to be wise in how to handle negative press? Is this just more proof that Cain isn't running a serious campaign? Discuss!
