I saw the news today.

I took pretty much the entire Sunday off and away from the computer. I wake up this morning to Corey Booker seemingly throwing the President under the bus and Chicago police beating the crap out of protestors at the NATO Summit.
What a messed up way to wake up. I wish it was a joke. That reminds me:

Geez, and all I want to do is take a nap under my desk. After a busy weekend we get woken up about 1am by one of our idiot neighbors car alarms! WHy do people even use these any more? They are not effectual - everyone ignores them until they wake up and piss off everyone in the at 1am

Good day, folks. Did not sleep well this morning so kind of feel like shit. I saw several facebook postings last night on what is going on in Chicago including the difference in how local and national media are reporting it. I might have to check out the WGN newscast but it does seem like Chicago police did not learn any lessons from '68. There do seem to be shades of Cointelpro lurking its old ugly head in the way protests are dealt with.
