Working Class Hero
Author: Raine    Date: 12/08/2012 14:53:13

As soon as you're born they make you feel small
By giving you no time instead of it all
Till the pain is so big you feel nothing at all
A working class hero is something to be
A working class hero is something to be

They hurt you at home and they hit you at school
They hate you if you're clever and they despise a fool
Till you're so crazy you can't follow their rules
A working class hero is something to be
A working class hero is something to be

When they've tortured and scared you for twenty odd years
Then they expect you to pick a career
When you can't really function you're so full of fear
{ From: http://www.elyrics.net }
A working class hero is something to be
A working class hero is something to be

Keep you doped with religion and sex and TV
And you think you're so clever and classless and free
But you're still peasants as far as I can see
A working class hero is something to be
A working class hero is something to be

There's room at the top they are telling you still
But first you must learn how to smile as you kill
If you want to be like the folks on the hill
A working class hero is something to be
A working class hero is something to be

If you want to be a hero, well, just follow me
If you want to be a hero, well, just follow me

32 years.

You left out the F word in Working Class Hero.

Considering it says "{ From: http://www.elyrics.net }" in the middle of it, I assume the site she copied and pasted from left it out.

That would make sense.

Today was Hal's last show on SiriusXM. Apparently, it was a 6-week pilot run and he was encouraging listeners to send feedback so that the show might come back. I guess I will have to go bombard SiriusXM to keep him on a permanent basis although that would end the Chicago show which he is going back to doing next week. It looks like ABL was becoming a regular on the show so we shall see.

A correct assumption.

I remember hearing the news, which was so painful as John Lennon had just come out with the Double Fantasy album. It was a shock, and a huge moment for people of my generation.

I remember watching the Patriots on Monday Night Football when the news came out. Howard Cosell essentially stated that given what had just happened, a football game meant nothing. I don't think he said a word the rest of the game.
