We had our weekly D&D session last night.. and we had a close encounter with a sleeping tarrasque!

I needs to find me a new group. My old one imploded. The thing is, I want to go totally old school. The first 3 books and Greyhawk.

Clearly he is not familiar with role-playing games.

Troop 241 is big into "Magic". I don't pretend to understand.

Ya know, when I was a Scout, we spent summer camp week pulling all-nighters and pranking each other.

*shakes fist at cloud*

He's really pretty geeky. Oddly I am not 2 (or maybe 3) degrees from Nathan Fillion. A friend of mine on twitter (and via email and tumblr) is friends with a guy who is friends with Fillion. And I mean actual friends - like hangs out at his house and they play video games together and everything. Its things like this that make me love the internet

It sucks to lose someone with so much tenure and experience.

I am sorry Mr Client we aren't going to be able to build you a specific solution for your issue with a mobile website. Here's a hint, mobile sites are designed to have tons and tons of graphics, MORON!

His district is overwhelmingly Democratic.

Good day, folks. First day of my vacation and everyone in the house is under the weather. I and one other have a cold and the other roomie is sick so it's not pretty here.

In other news, I have spoken to my almost-institutionalized friend.

He did end up having back surgery after his "relapse" on Christmas Eve. He's about to be discharged from the nursing home he's been in...they are looking for a program bed to put him in.

Naturally, he's blaming everyone else except himself for what's happening...says his family has abandoned him, and he's seen more of his "friends" over the last year. Presumably the same friends that keep bringing him pills, but I digress.

At least he is still alive. But I also have to question the wisdom of his doctors for prescribing him Oxycontins. That won't end well, either.

(Or, "I've been on these before - I can get off them anytime." He really said that to me this week.)

I am running a game of Pathfinder tonight. Nothing as dramatic as the tarrasque, but New Englanders might be amused to know that there is a pukwudgie in the scenario.

I don;t think this is indicative of the entire department, but this is just shameful.

They could have helped the man out of basic common decency.

I don't know about any family relationship, but I am familiar with many things.

TriSec, I am sorry to hear this. I hope that your friend can get on the road to recovery.

Raine, hang in there and get better soon.

As for myself, I was away yesterday as I subbed and had dinner with friends. So, not a bad day.

This is going to be really interesting.
