Scoop was it this?

Yeah that's the interview. For a good part of it he was talking about how communications is much more centralized now than it was during the Cold War and it's that much easier for surveillance to cross the line. But towards the end the interviewer asked him if he had any actual proof that the NSA or any other government agency was using what it collects to discredit or go after citizens for anythig other than actual criminal activity... and he was like 'UHHHH NO BUT WE'RE LOOKING FOR IT!'

I'll listen to it the next break.

Oh for fuck's sake.. what did he say about the Nigerian girls?

(I read some of the stuff Reddit users were posting and it made me fucking sick. "There's only news coverage about it cuz they're black women, if it was white boys nobody would care!")

Good morning. No, I didn't hear a word about GG. He's irrelevant to me.

The very fact that there is no evidence only proves they're hiding something!!

I'm sorry, but you don't suddenly get racist when you have dementia. My aunt was diagnosed with it a little over a year ago and she didn't suddenly start saying awful things.

I dunno about that. Friend of mine's granny has dementia and her filters are all set to off now. She says all sorts of racist shite. But then I think she came that way and was too polite before the dementia to say anything out loud.

I don;t know much about dementia, but I think that it opens up the filters on things at times.

Its horrible to watch - precursor to Alzheimer's.

Sure it opens up the filters but I think if its not in someone's nature to being with why would they just suddenly just say it.

Btw, this is my fave aunt, the one enjoyed debating politics and religion with me, the one who converted to Messianic Judaisms. I've got some serious anger issues with God about this one.

With Oma in a nursing home, I totally understand. She's doing alright and I know that she and My mom can't believe it came to it. Mom never wanted this for Oma. (Ironically, my mother insets that when the time comes we put her in a home so as to not a burden on my sisters. )

My aunts in a home - its a whole thing and her sisters (my mom and other aunt) and my cousin and myself are rather pissed. Lois (my step grandmother in a sense) got the POA and put her there saying it was safest for her. We never got to look into other options or moving her to VA, nothing. Lois sold her stuff - except for what Lois deemed "family" stuff - which included some of my grandmothers things cause the lawyer told her too. Sold her house - she's just made a whole mess of everything like she wanted to be done with it.

Can you tell we're a little pissed

Clay Aiken's primary opponent for the NC 2nd CD Democratic nomination has died. Aiken was leading the vote count by a narrow margin, and his opponent was waiting to decided whether or not to challenge for a runoff. Now it looks like Aiken will face off in the general against Renee Ellmers
