It’s been a hard week. The death of Robin Williams, the events in Ferguson, the ongoing turmoil in the Middle East - all these things are hard on the heart and soul and can make the world feel like a heavy place.

You’ve probably heard me mention something about a charity that I stumbled upon more then a year ago, theRandomAct.org.

The Random Act
…it’s our mission to conquer the world one random act of kindness at a time. We are here to inspire acts of kindness around the world both big and small. We provide a vast network of caring people with the encouragement and support they need to change lives for the better.

They have had a yearlong campaign call #GetKind all over social media. Each month has been a new focus, from kids to the environment to the elderly to this month’s focus on the arts. Yearly they do things like AMOK (A Melee of Kindness), E4K (Endure for Kindness), Caught in the Act , and Class Act. All these events ask people to simply go out into the world and spread kindness.

I know it sounds overly simple and a little hokey but kindness is contagious. It costs us nothing to be kind to one another. Hold a door open for someone, if a friend can’t afford a sitter offer to watch their kids for a few hours, offer someone in need a ride to work or home or just even donate items to Goodwill or your local community thrift. If you don’t mind spending a few dollars donate school supplies, buy someone a cup of coffee or take things like toothpaste, soap, mouthwash and other sundry items to a homeless shelter.

Maybe if we start showing some kindness to each other the world won’t seem so dark a place.

Mornin' all & Happy Fridee!

What a difference a day makes. MO Gov. Nixon wakes up, replaces the 'chucklefuck' St. Louis County fuzz with a state police patrol, and the animosity ends. And the local police chief is taking selfies with protesters in order to save face.

In seriousness, I heard about this earlier this week or late last week and I was not surprised that NBC is giving the gig to Chuckers the Beaver. He will be just as fawning and boring as Gregory.

Okay so.. the STL County Police have release the name of the cop who shot Brown.

They've also released security camera footage/stills of an armed robbery over a box of cigars about 10 minutes before Brown was stopped by the police. They're claiming it's him in the video, but it hasn't been confirmed as far as I can find outside of the police report.

And a statement from the cop claiming that there was a struggle with Brown over his gun. Which is at odds with the statement from the person walking with Brown, who said the cop grabbed him by the throat and he was struggling to get away when the cop pulled his gun. The other witness only saw him struggling then running away after one shot, before the cop fired again.

Good morning, bloggers.

Well, the police identified the officer who shot Michael Brown. They also are accusing Brown of being a suspect in an armed robbery.

IMHO, the police look desperate.
