Of course we can afford it. Mothball a few carriers. Cancel a few aviation programs. Get our troops home. Stop being the world's policeman.
Go on into the "Cost of War" link on any given week, and play with some of the tradeoffs.
It's all about priorities. War is a priority. Domestic policy is not.

ikr! There are 2 bridges that I've been crossing more of lately - both go over the Potomac one into Charles Town, WV and one into Point of Rocks. They look sturdy, but I worry every time, its a long way down.

I have found it surprisingly difficult to find a national database of bridges and their inspection results. It seems each state maintains their own, and even that is difficult to navigate.
Here's the one for northern VA. Good luck with figuring that out.

The biggest symbol of our bumbling infrastructure is the Arlington Memorial bridge - two lanes and walkways are closed indefinitely.
This is just really sad. The GOP says we can't afford it, I say we can't afford NOT to.

Memorial Bridge is the one with the Lion statues, right? Or am I getting that confused.

It's the one running between Arlington Cemetery and the Lincoln Memorial. It has statues, but they're not lions

There's a column for "Func Obslt". If it has an FO in it, that bridge is "Functionally Obsolete", The column next to it indicates if the bridge is structurally deficient.

I am surprised that there is nothing listed for Chicago restaurantsl. Lou Malnati's, Bacino's, Aurelio's, Connie's, Giordano's, Home Run Inn Pizza and many others are all great!!!

Are they all deep-dish or are there places that od conventional styles? I guess I'm used to New York pizzerias although I did sometimes go to Pizzeria Uno which did deep-dish pizzas even though it's a chain.

I have had deep-dish pizza that I liked (there used to be one called "Upper Crust" in Atlanta which had two crusts with cheese and fillings in between and sauce on top). There is a Pizzaria Uno in Union Station. Tried it a month ago and thought it was pretty bad.

This is going to dog her campaign.
Personally, I do not care — her money her choice, but I think we all know that this is terrible optics.
Y'all know I was and Edwards supporter and I wasn't fond of his paying that much money for a haircut back then. (that was the infamous 400 dollars haircut and it dogged him for the entire campaign — until we found out what a creep he was)
That she went through so much to hide it, well — that is not cool.

Well, just getting my hair cut is 65 if I wanted to have it dyed with highlights I'm looking at about 200 all together. It all depends on the services and the expertise of the stylist. 600 isn't all that inconceivable really.

To me, it was VERY bready (like what it commonly called "Sicilian-style", and cut into squares). I do not like that, Sam I am

The cost isn't the issue so much as her seemingly constant need to hide everything she does from "prying eyes". People in general are already wary of secrecy in government, and she is putting out this aura of "I'll tell you what you need to know - you just need to trust me".
