Nothing.

I have nothing for you this morning. I am still digesting what the President said to our Nation last night. If you didn't watch it you can do so here.

You can read it here.

I am still baffled and disheartened the we, allegedly the greatest country in the world, cannot find some way to solve the scourge of gun violence in our country.

Day after day, another mass shooting happens and it seems to me the only change we see is that people are just getting used to death and slaughter as if it was normal.

It is not normal. This should not be normal.

I pray that things can change.

Just so you know, it's Armageddon today. I am listening to Christmas music. Of my own free will.

Morning ...for another 30 minutes.

With aching hands I decided to go "keyboardless" over the weekend and immersed myself in Rocky & Bullwinkle (except for the entirely entertaining destruction of the Patriots).

Hands much better this morning. So now what to do? OK, just ordered wrist supporters for the 3 PCs I use at work, they seem to help. Home's a different story. There just isn't room on the desk for 2 keyboards, 3 monitors, 2 mice, TiVo, VCR, tape deck, 2 PCs and a microphone mixer. And no, a KVM switch won't do the job.

Good morning, bloggers!!! I hope that everyone is well, despite the sad news of late.

I would like to direct those who are interested to the following article by Paul Waldman: Terrorism Truths No Politician Will Admit. We may not be able to stop every lone wolf gunman or small cell, but I have not acting on our gun laws is making the perfect the enemy of the good.

In some good news, I have an interview for a maternity leave sub position tomorrow morning.

In bad news, Canada, Mexico win $1 billion for sanctions against U.S courtesy of the WTO.

I am sorry, but trade treaties should not trump our consumer protection laws. I do not think an appointed trade body is more important than democracy.

It's about time for my annual assault on cookie mountain. Except I have analyzed my schedule, and there is a danger. Should I have commercial baked goods standing by?

Commercial goods are always standing by - just monitor your progress and be prepared to make the emergency run

This is going to put Republicans in a difficult place. They want to repeal the Country of Origin Laws to help their big-business friends (and because people like us like them), but to have a "New World Order" group like the WTO force it on them will make them have second thoughts - just "because".

Either way - they are going to make someone they despise happy.

Canadian judge's scathing analysis of a sovereign citizen's divorce proceedings.

Very long read, but totally worth it for the comic value.

They also will offend some supporters either way. I think that their contradictions are catching up to them.
