Good morning, bloggers!!

I thought it was good to see a debate on issues and ideas, instead of insults and remarks on the size of body parts. I thought that the debate was vigorous and I was pleased to see an enthusiastic crowd.

Indiana is set to have a new law placing additional restrictions on abortion due to gender or fetal abnormalities. The state will join Nebraska in this. I expect that this law is heading to the federal courts soon. (This is why we need to have Democrats take the White House and as many seats on Capitol Hill as possible. The GOP seems fine about regulating women's bodies but seems to think corporations need no restrictions on what they can do.)

I fear that the Midwest, with the notable exception of Minnesota, has several of the worst governors today. Sam Brownback, Bruce Rauner, Mike Pence... all examples of why the GOP's policies have failed.

Digby has a piece at Salon on alleged moderate John Kasich's attacks on Planned Parenthood in Ohio. I don't think Kasich can be called a moderate, and I fear that the GOP is becoming more radicalized each year.

She has been to Paris twice as I recall. She may be able to offer some good tips.

Well, TriSec is going to "France" too, ya know. Only it's at EPCOT.

I really liked Epcot when I went there a lifetime ago.

I think my fave was italy and the food there.

We're all about Germany this trip, fraulein. I shall not mention the war.

Actually, I wish to make a credible attempt at 'drinking around the world' for my birthday.
