I have no idea what is going on here but I feel the need to go where stuffed bears wander free.
Alright, I do know what's this is, its Kawaii. What is that you ask? Well, its simply the cuteness culture in Japan.

Why am I bringing this to a political blog in the middle of an election year? I don't know about you, but this year is freaking me out and cute is a happy place.
And I find it rather funny to stumble across pictures like these.

Alright, I do know what's this is, its Kawaii. What is that you ask? Well, its simply the cuteness culture in Japan.
Kawaii – lovable, cute, adorable.
Kawaii has become a prominent aspect of Japanese popular culture, entertainment, clothing, food, toys, personal appearance and even behaviour.

TRISEC is pleased to report a highly successful Blue & Gold banquet and year-end Court of Honour for Waltham Pack 205 last night.
This is despite the dire predictions of failure by my Committee Chair. Maybe you've heard of him- it's Donald Downer, Debbie's sister.
He may be in for a surprise at our annual planning meeting, where I plan to ask for new leadership.

Mala, friends of mine have recently returned from Japan. One of their stops was in Nara where they have free-roaming deer in a part of the city. There is, of course, an adorable cartoon deer mascot.

Those last two images in the blog are rather disturbing.
The Japanese can be a bit... "obsessive" when it comes to fads. I remember when I was there, you could anything from a vending machine. Not sure what that's all about, but then - that goes for most of their pop culture fads.
