Well, here we are. The day we've been dreading is finally here. I am still trying to figure out how this awful person was elected if he didn't have help from an outside entity. Eight years ago it was so cold outside but so warm all at the same time, there was a sense of love and hope in the air. Everything was packed with people, by the end of the day everyone was tired but still happy. It was a good day.
This time around not many people are happy, and honestly I was just thrilled to get to work before 8 to get some work done cause there is no traffic. Hearing the local radio news station report that parking lots are only half full (at 7:30 AM), trains are full but not packed, and the crowd is only supposed to get to about 900,000 did give me a little sense of satisfaction that people aren't really showing up and he's not got the "movement" he says he does.
This is an image of the concert from last night, to which tRump proclaimed that a concert at the Lincoln Memorial had never been held before. Compare that to the one next to it of 2009. Were are the people? Seriously how did this person get elected?!
There are so many questions that need to be answered before he can truly be recognized as the real President. Until then he is illegitimate. But no matter what, we Resist.
In Virginia, we have an off-year election, I'm guessing other places do too. We have to restart at the local levels again; we have to flip the state legislatures back to reflecting the people they serve and not the corporations that invested in them. We need Statesmen and women, not shills.
The hard work started when the new Congress was sworn in. It's going to be tiring and frustrating. We will be kind, but not doormats. We will pick each other up when it becomes too much. We are stronger then them. We will make them hear us.

I have a friend who works for Metro - she say she can tell who the tRump supporters are cause they have no clue how mass transit works and she's seeing lots of protester and their signs are hilarious

Just talked to Keith next door -- he took Allie to the Metro This morning and there were about 5 people wearing those Red hats.
The regular commuters walked into another car -- and some people changed cars, leaving the 5 trasholesupports alone.

Alright folks, as my cryptic message on the book of face stated...
After a year of doing the same thing and expecting a different outcome, I have decided to do something different. Today was my last day at Fallon Health.
I have a few days off for now, but after that I'm going to give it a go in the retail world. I've gone full-time at the store, will be training to work in the outdoor/camping department, including teaching clinics, and have been given an inside track on getting back to the Outdoor School and leading excursions again.
I don't know if I can make enough money at this to make it work, but I'm going to try.
In exchange, I get a better attitude, more positive days, and a generally happier personal outlook. It was like a tremendous weight being lifted. Just ask Giles Corey.
