Good morning.

Things just seem to keep on escalating. By now, you've heard about North Korea's recent missile test? We're probably all going to die. North Korea is crazy enough to actually use it, and of course things like this don't help any.

It's also rather telling that only military options seem to be up for discussion.

Moving on, I'll file this under "what will Trump soil next"? A Medal of Honour has been awarded to a Vietnam veteran by the President. At least his remarks seemed to be appropriate this time.

We'll finish up in Russia today. Looks like the ol' Tit for Tat with Putin is as strong as ever.. I don't know what kind of deal Russia made with the candidate, but it looks like they can't control their puppet, either.

It's not the first time I've said it - keep swinging at the hornet's nest, and eventually you'll connect.

Good morning!

I'm pretty worried about North Korea this time around.

Mornin' all!

I'm starting to hear a lot of rumbling about individuals and insurance companies planning to sue the government and this administration specifically if it refuses to properly fund the ACA according to the statute.

There's also this today, which sets precedent for the above:

As soon as Trump said he would let the ACA crumble. I told Bob that there would be lawsuits.

This is all good stuff.

The newest bill containing increased sanctions against Russia was passed almost unanimously on the 27th & received at the White House on the 28th, according to the House bill tracking website.

The White House is now saying they never received the bill.

If Trump doesn't sign or veto it, the bill becomes law at midnight on August 7th.

Can this be pocket vetoed?

Sure, but that won't stop it from becoming law (if Congress were in full recess it would - the Senate is still around until the 11th). He has to put his signature on the veto line, and if he does that he'll be overriden big time.

It seems like Conservative women commentators are supposed to be masturbation fantasies for old men.

Hello, bloggers!!

It is a busy day for me, but some good news. I have an interview on Friday.

As for the situation in North Korea, it might be a good idea if all the parties talk to each other if only through intermediaries. I fear that Kim Jung Un and the Clementine Caligula (to borrow a phrase from Bob Kincaid of the H.O.R.N. who is filling in for Mike Malloy through Wednesday) need to have calmer heads prevail.

A reporter just asked a question about this and Huckabee couldn;t answer.

REALLY.
