Sorry I’ve not been by to visit of late, but this is Velveeta’s busy time of year. And, among other things I’ve gotten dreadfully behind in my thank you letters:

Clarion Fund
255 W. 63 Street
New York, NY 10001

Dear Mr. Clarion,

Thank you for the lovely, and quite unexpected, gift of a DVD entitled “Obsession, Radical Islam’s war Against the West”. I don’t know how little ol’ me qualified for such bounty, but I am never one to question my good fortunes.

I would be remiss for not properly thanking you for the gift; however, I do hope that you did not require more of a commitment from me, such as a review of the film. If so, I must be honest and inform you that an accident befell my sweet gift.

In my unwrapping excitement, the disc fell onto my tile kitchen floor, landing, as fate would have it, on the “play” side. While attempting to pick it up, I clumsily stepped on it and slide across the room! Sadly, and with great sorrow, I must tell you that through some bizarre happenstance, and with DVD still underfoot, we slide across the kitchen like a splayed gazelle on ice, over the room divide and into the great room with its rustic knotty pine floor, continuing into the bedroom and finally coming to rest in my bathroom at the base of the commode!

You can only imagine my horror and grief when I was able to retrieve my gift and found that it was scratched beyond repair!

I know that my carelessness does not entitle me to pity, however, should you find it in your heart, and, if you have any extra copies of your fine movie, then I would be most honored to get another. And, I will gladly watch it the very day that I receive it, which would most likely be the day I would vote.

Thank you again for your kindness.

Yours in compassion and abhorrence for all things non-Christian,
Velveeta Jones

Mr. John McCain
McCain Palin Compliance Fund
Republican Headquarters
PO Box 89000
Michigan, 458900

Dear Mr. McCain,

Thank you for your kind letter and offer to have me join your coalition, “Southern Women Advancing McCain/Palin”, though your letter offered very little in the way of information at what SWAMP would do. I have a few suggestions as to what we could do to help raise money for the McCain Palin Compliance Fund.

First, I find it admirable that your running mate, Sarah Palin, wants to focus on “at needs” babies, at the same time being giddy with pride that her nubile young girl has wantonly spread for the high school stud and impregnated herself with another baby for our long war in Iraq/Iran et al.

I think that we should start a group, a sub coalition if you will, that focuses on preparing our young girls, the All-American ones naturally, for their impending service to their country. Using Sarah as a role model, we would mold these young girls into the baby machines of tomorrow! We will call this coalition Citizens United in Natal Training. Through C.U.N.T we will shape our next generation of young women!

Secondly, we could start a fund to raise money for research and training of at needs babies into our future soldiers! There is no reason that Gods “special” children can’t take part in His war on Islam! Certainly these young children can be trained to handle a gun, and teaching them at a young age is the way to go. After all, as Ronald Reagan said, “Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime”. We’ll call this group: Special Child-Reach for Everlasting War, or, S.C.R.E.W.

I hope you like my ideas and find them a worthy substitute for money.

Yours in the continuing battle for our country,
Velveeta Jones

Dear Bank of America,

Thank you, once again, for the kind offer of 4.9% APR for yet another, VISA card. However I must, once again, decline.

Frankly, I must admit that I admire your persistence in my financial needs; however, at this time I find that I do not need to add to my collection of credit cards.

As I’m sure you’re aware, I already have 16 credit cards, all with balances due. One might think that I would be a risk for receiving another credit card! But I can see that Bank of America is a company that presents a picture of positive energy and hope for our country, and I commend you for that.

Thank you again and keep up the good work,

Yours in tree killing,
Velveeta Jones

Ah! Another day off to a good start. Remember dear readers; proper etiquette demands thank you letters!

Velveeta,

Another BRILLIANT post full of the sarcasm and good cheer that I have come to love from you and your gifted pen (or typing fingers). BRAVO, my dear, bravo I wisely have not had breakfast yet and will not consume any foodstuffs near my computer this morning. If you all would like to read a more somber, yet I hope not too terribly dull, post wander over to http://emailstosms.blogspot.com/. Four Freedoms gets a shout out along with the Colin Powell endorsement of Senator Obama.

Thanks for getting my Sunday off to a great start VJ - you totally rock

Cheers,

Barack Obama Raised 150 million dollars in September.

you see, what John McCain doesn't seem to understand (nor people like Michelle Bachmannn for that matter) is that Americans are tired of the nasti-Anti American Bullshit, and if the media won't put an end to this crap from the GOP, people's pocket books will.

Good one BobR,

But correct me if I am wrong, but I thought Dick did the screwing and C.U.N.T. always was the one who got screwed (off to the penalty box), where I will likely remain all day - it seems to be safer in there than it is out in the territory of red(neck) Okie-ville - my second yard sign was stolen last night, thank gawd I keep extras in my garage, so it is replaced almost immediately, but these people are INSANE and DANGEROUS and I'm skeerd Somebody spoon me (virtually speaking) - I was planning on wearing one of my Obama shirts to the Bark Park, but wonder if I have a death wish :rage:

Here's a quote after MTP: "is essentially going to execute the Republican agenda, the orthodoxy of the Republican agenda with a new face and a maverick approach to it, and he'd be quite good at it, but I think we need more than that. I think we need a generational change. I think Senator Obama has captured the feelings of the young people of America and is reaching out in a more diverse, inclusive way across our society."

Thanks Michelle Bachmann:

From Colin Powell:

Q: Sir, what role did McCain's negativity play in your decision?

POWELL: It troubled me. You know, we have two wars. We have economic problems. We have health problems. We have education problems. We have infrastructure problems. We have problems around the world with our allies. And so those are the problems the American people wanted to hear about, not about Mr. Ayers, not about who is a Muslim and who's not a Muslim. Those kinds of images going out on al Jazeera are killing us around the world. And we have got to say to the world it doesn't make any difference who you are or what you are. If you're an American you're an American.

And this business of, for example, a congressman from Minnesota who's going around saying let's examine all congressmen to see who is pro-America or not pro-America. We have got to stop this kind of nonsense and pull ourselves together and remember that our great strength is in our unity and in our diversity. And so that really was driving me. And to focus on people like Mr. Ayers, these trivial issues for the purpose of suggesting that somehow Mr. Obama would have some kind of terrorists' inclinations, I thought that was over the top. It was beyond just good political fighting back and forth. I think it went beyond. And then to sort of throw in this subtle Muslim connection. You know, he's a Muslim and a terrorist. And it was taking root. And we can't judge our people and we can't hold our elections on that kind of basis. And so yes, that kind of negativity troubles me and the constant shifting of the argument.

I was troubled a couple of weeks ago when in the middle of the crisis the campaign said we're going to go negative and they announced it. We're going to go negative and attack his character through Bill Ayers. And now I guess the message this week is we're going to call him a socialist. Mr. Obama is now a socialist because he dares to suggest that maybe we ought to look at the tax structure that we have. Taxes are always a redistribution of money. Most of the taxes that are redistributed go back to those who pay it in roads and airports and hospitals and schools. And taxes are necessary for the common good. And there's nothing wrong with examining what our tax structure is or who should be paying more, who should be paying less. And for us to say that makes you a socialist I think is an unfortunate characterization that isn't accurate. And I don't want my taxes raised. I don't want anybody else's taxes raised. But I also want to see our infrastructure fixed. I don't want to have a $12 trillion national debt and I don't want to see an annual deficit that's over $500 billion heading toward a trillion. So how do we deal with all of this?

If he really was just a regular Joe, I might feel a bit sorry for him. This seems to happen on a regular basis, where the media latches onto a story, and the person in the center of it becomes a media darling, before inevitably being dragged through the mud.

However, since it seems increasingly apparent he is a plant, and is appearing on TV shows, I feel less inclined to have any sympathy.
