It's Monday again and I don't have much to talk about this morning. This exclusive from WaPo is a bit astounding.
In all, 18 members of the NRA’s 76-member board, who are not paid as directors, collected money from the group during the past three years, according to tax filings, state charitable reports and NRA correspondence reviewed by The Washington Post. (snip)

The payments received by about one-quarter of board members, the extent of which has not previously been reported, deepen questions about the rigor of the board’s oversight as it steered the country’s largest and most powerful gun rights group, according to tax experts and some longtime members. (snip)

The dueling allegations, coupled with multimillion-dollar shortfalls in recent years and an ongoing investigation by the New York attorney general, threaten the potency of the NRA, long a political juggernaut and a close ally of President Trump.

That organization really needs to have its tax exempt status taken away.

Anyway, it's the beginning of another week in the funhouse, let's get this party going!

and
Raine

Mornin' all!

This should be an action-packed day. We've got SCOTUS decisions coming in a few mins, John Dean walking up the Hill this afternoon, and the ongoing fallout from this supposed deal with Mexico.

Such a shame. Now they need to fumigate to get rid of the stench.

Hey, does anyone know when the hearing begins?

BTW, aside from Dean, this looks like it will be important testimony:

With John Dean? I think C-Span's website said 2PM.

Well if this isn't a sign I don't know what is.
The tree was removed by American authorities a few days after it was planted to be placed in quarantine like any other agricultural import to the United States. Gerard Araud, the French ambassador to the United States, took to Twitter to reassure people that the tree "will be replanted afterwards."
...
One year later, though, according to French media outlet Le Monde, the tree will not, in fact, be replanted. French newspaper Le Figaro later confirmed the news. The tree reportedly has died in quarantine, never to return to the White House lawn.

Further proof everything Trump touches dies.

There's some news stubs saying that Nadler & DOJ have reached an agreement on turning over evidence documents related to Mueller's investigation, in exchange for temporarily suspending the contempt votes. More to come, as they say.

WTF Gohmert just asked John Dean is he was the one who ordered the watergate breakin.

Comment by Scoopster on 06/10/2019 19:26:07
I hear some moron asking a question, then interrupting the answer by asking the question again, then interrupting again to say the question was already answered.

Figures it'd be Gohmert Pyle.
