What a mess.

Good Morning fine friends. I don't have anything good to say about the current state of our country. Believe me, I'm trying.
The events that took place on the other half of the world are just an embarrassing mess and I am sure you all know about it.
Here at home, I am witnessing some pretty ugly stuff in our political party. This was the thing I was afraid would happen. I know vetting has to happen, and this is the primary season but it got nasty pretty quickly after the debates last week.
Let's get this week rolling, shall we?

Looking for some good vibes this morning. Earle started coughing and hacking over the weekend and it was pretty bad overnight.
His nose is wet, and he's eating, so that is good. Our new vet couldn't see him this week at all, so instead of going to an emergency vet, we are taking to the vet we used to go to in Alexandria.

Never really felt all that welcome at DU, for whatever reason. Really the only thing I worry hard about is us doing ourselves so much damage that we lose again. While right now I have a little hope that we can win, my inner Eeyore is proclaiming with a sinking feeling that we are doomed.

Raine, I have some hope in that as bad as things are, people are rising up to take a stand. Hopefully, things will not get as bad as the Stephen King novel referenced in that song. (At least the Walking Dude would probably have better hair than the Clementine Caligula.)

I spent a good chunk of the weekend diving into the latest expansion for Final Fantasy XIV. Great story, great music, and great new gameplay. (Hey Blizzard, good luck keeping up with this!)

I remember Cleo giving Kennel cough to Lucky when we first got her. Even from day one she wanted to make Lucky’s life miserable ;)
Hope Earle recovers quickly.
Cleo went to the vet for the cyst on her tail today. She made an attempt at making herself scarce just before we left, I was moving furniture around trying to find her then she just saunters down the hallway from who knows where like nothing’s going on. The procedure went well but they want to hold her until 4PM to get some meds & fluids in her.
