Again Who is the problem?
Author: Raine    Date: 12/28/2020 13:52:13

Waking up to find it was just another quiet, white, 60 something male loner who decided to blow up a block in Nashville on Christmas morning.

Because, of course. There is one problem though. Once he converted his camper into a mobile car bomb he became a future terrorist. Then he became a terrorist. He will always be a terrorist and nothing about the life he lived will be benign, at least not to me. I am grateful to this MSNBC anchor who took the liberty of rejecting the tired trope of normalizing murderously disgruntled white men.

He was a suicide bomber, full stop. I don't know if he was affiliated with any hate groups, but if rumors are true that he was paranoid about 5G technology I wouldn't be surprised if he was susceptible to other dangerous conspiracy theories. Lately there are an awful lot of them swirling around in the poisonous stew that is bubbling around this country.

The Nashville Terrorist wasn't an immigrant. He wasn't Muslim. He wasn't a black man.
He wasn't a Mexican. He wasn't a refugee. He wasn't an asylum seeker.

He was a white American Male. Tell me who we are supposed to be afraid of again?

Stay safe out there.

and
Raine

If he was paranoid about 5G, it makes sense he'd target a telecommunications hub

Morning

Isn't 5G supposed to be part of the Q crap or something?

I want to apologize for shirking my duty of Friday blog. Had a total brain fart and forgot all about it. Thank you Bob for covering it for me.

Yes - they seem to not understand technology, and have some weird ideas about it

Raine, I was more afraid of Americans who look like me in driving to and from Phoenix than those who do not look like me. (I did not casually mention that I am Jewish in Phoenix -- as Arizona has a history of problems with hate groups.)

As for the American terrorist in question, we will see what truths are uncovered. We have people who seem to enjoy seeing themselves as victims who also are the possessors of secret truths. This does not bode well for the new year.

It's one of many conspiracy theories like anti-vaxxer sentiments expressed by QANONers ers among others.

So, what is holding our country together? Or will our divisions continue?

Sorry for not being around -- holiday stuff and getting ready to paint my office.

Have fun

If I can gather the will power and energy I'd like to press reset on the house myself

Yeah, so a Christmas Card was just delivered to the TriSec compound.

It travelled a whopping 453 miles from the Capitol Region.

It was postmarked on 15 December - 13 days ago.

I presume it was hand-walked all the way up here, since at 11 1/2 hours walking per day, that's how long it would have taken.

Thanks, Mr. President!

It will take quite a while to undo the damage that has been done to our post office.

However, I am not sure if we can undo the damage that Trump has done nationally. Already, an aunt who is a Trumper is posting things connecting the Nashville bombing to voting machines. No, I am not kidding.

None of the packages we mailed the day before have been delivered yet.

Also - I ordered a small package from a store that is literally a 20 minute drive from our house, and it took 10 days to get here (via NYC).

Louis Dejoy is certainly doing a great job as Trump's lackey.
