HAPPY LUNAR NEW YEAR!

Happy Year of the OX!

Per thechinesezodiac.org - this is going to be a lucky year with a focus on relationships. Also and I think they buried the headline - no explosive or catastrophic events will occur.

Hope everyone has a great weekend and please stay safe.

Good Morning.

A distant cousin of mine has passed - perhaps you've heard of him?

And in other news - I successfully passed my permit exam; I am now the proud owner of a Massachusetts Motorcycle Learner's Permit.

Still waiting for the schools to open - but that's just two weeks away from the season now. My weekend assignment is to check and see if there are any "early birds" out there.

I have done extensive research on a ride. While I will walk into nearby Greater Boston Motorsports and see if I get lucky on the 'previously owned' lot, this is the one I've got my eye on if I buy new. (CB500X, and it's stablemate, the CB500F.)

Good morning all!

Got a quick medical update - I had a full body scan with I-123 contrast yesterday. From what the initial notes said, it looks like there's very little malignant tissue remaining, and it's all localized in my neck.

Next week I get the big dose of I-131. I'm a little nervous about that part.

Hmmm - I never had radiation. However, I've actually got a family issue of thyroid issues. (It missed me, fortunately - but Mum and my Niece had problems.)

Good Luck, Scoop. Remember that this isn't the 1950s, or even the 1990s. Cancer therapies are so much more targeted and effective without a ton of unintended side-effects these days. (For example, my father and I had cancer about seven years apart. Treatment changed significantly in that timeframe.)
