Who's to Blame?
Author: BobR    Date: 10/27/2021 13:24:43

The news broke over the weekend that 6 organizers for TFG's Jan 6 rally, had "dozens of meetings" with specific members of Congress:
The two organizers described participating in dozens of planning briefings ahead of the Jan. 6 riot. "I remember Marjorie Taylor Greene specifically," one organizer told Rolling Stone. Along with Greene (R-Ga.), both planners said GOP Reps. Paul Gosar (Ariz.), Lauren Boebert (Colo.), Mo Brooks (Ala.), Madison Cawthorn (N.C.), Andy Biggs (Ariz.), and Louie Gohmert (Texas) or their top staffers participated in the conversations.

In addition, at least five former TFG staffers have been talking to the House Jan 06 Committee.

Naturally, this has raised huge implications for those involved. The 14th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution (section 3) specifically states:
No person shall be a Senator or Representative in Congress, or elector of President and Vice President, or hold any office, civil or military, under the United States, or under any state, who, having previously taken an oath, as a member of Congress, or as an officer of the United States, or as a member of any state legislature, or as an executive or judicial officer of any state, to support the Constitution of the United States, shall have engaged in insurrection or rebellion against the same, or given aid or comfort to the enemies thereof.

If it's found that any of these members of Congress helped with the planning of the riot, they could be booted out - permanently.

So how have they been responding? Predictably. The "personal responsibility party" certainly think it doesn't apply to them.

Who is next to attempt to shift the blame. Should this be a bingo card or drinking game?

Good morning, bloggers!!!

I think that we have to treat those involved in the insurrection as domestic enemies who should not hold office.

This is fucking treason.

Can we channel Sam Adams and start a "Committee of Correspondence" among like-minded individuals throughout the several states and maybe even start stockpiling arms and supplies at Concord again?

The only way that democracy can be saved is if all these fascist traitors are locked up and disgraced.

Afternoon

Sorry to have missed everyone - today and tomorrow having fun at Kaiser for mom's appointments. Nothing serious just routine

Weather was not really an issue. I'm far enough inland (15 miles) that there was little trouble. Most of the wind and heavy rain was downcape, pretty far from here.

But I was coming back to note that I have an unscheduled day off today. Trolleys decided to have a late start due to the weather - and I was scheduled as a "standby" driver and doing some Ghost tours tonight. Ghosts are still on, so I don't have to be in until 6:30.

That said - it's a weird day in the TriSec compound. I feel strangely energized today. I commented elsewhere that I tend to consider fall a 'time of renewal', as school, scouts, and many other things are starting up at this time of year. I've been busy today, so I suppose I should make the most of that burst of energy.
