Comrades, I am likely driving to Florida after "the season" in November. My poor aunt has been alone and unvisited by anyone during the past two covid years.

I'd go down sooner, but living like it's the Great Recession again over the past two years has not quite left us destitute, but things are not as they should be.

It's looking like we're shaping up for a good summer in Boston. So as always, if you can travel - come ride a trolley! (Let me know, I'll hook you up, then you have to ride my tour.)

2 of our neighbors (they live a block or so away) were walking their doggo a few moments ago. I left the studio to stop all of our dogs from barking. He saw one of the paintings I did for the people of Ukraine.

I'd seen them before but we never spoke until today. As I was yelling at my undignified beasts, the man came to the fence and told me he really liked it. Asked if the colors were for a reason. I told him it was hanging in support for/of the people of Ukraine.

He had a strange look on his face, almost tearful but with a smile. He told me that he and his wife are from Ukraine. Her parents are there and are sheltering with friends. Her sister is in the Army and his family won't leave.

I gave them the painting. It's not the one I posted on FB (not that it matters), but I swear, at that moment, I realized that this painting was for them, their family, their country. I was so grateful they accepted it.

As Tri said over the weekend, art is for all, today some more than others. <3
