Today is day 6 of an 8-day stretch at work, and we don't even have any cruise ships in today!
Going to put this partially "open". I will directly link my prime news source today, Military Daily News.
Skimming along, a lot catches my eye, but all of it seems to be in a deep rut. All things we have reported extensively here at AAV.
The F-35 continues to suck.
Soldiers continue to kill themselves.
And we continue escalating the Quasi-War with China.
The Earth continues on its merry way through space and time - but doesn't it seem like we keep repeating the same pathways no matter what we do?

Moments after I got home yesterday evening I got a visit from one of the candidates for Providence mayor and my current state rep! We had a brief but pretty serious discussion of the opioid epidemic in the city (even my girlfriend thinks it's that bad even compared to New Haven where we both came from).

The Mayor of our town has visited us to campaign and before that to welcome us to the area when we moved here.
