The publication cited “people familiar with the search,” who spoke on the condition of anonymity. “Only the president, some members of his Cabinet or a near-Cabinet-level official could authorize other government officials to know details of these special-access programs,” the source said, revealing that special clearances are required to obtain such documents, and “not just top-secret clearance.” Which foreign government’s nuclear secrets may have been exposed is unclear, and the source did not provide details surrounding where in Mar-a-Lago it was found, but U.S. intelligence officials are now scrambling with the Office of the Director of National Intelligence “conducting a risk assessment” to determine the damage done by the removal of such classified material. After a previous report by The Post suggesting the FBI was searching for nuclear weapons-related material, Trump replied on social media: “Nuclear weapons issue is a Hoax, just like Russia.”
In the laudable cases, they do it so they can bring the public important information that they couldn’t report using only named sources. Reporting on an investigation like the Trump-Russia matter would dry up without anonymous sources for the simple reason that many more people are willing to help get news out there than are willing to do so openly—for reasons both attractive and unattractive, some noble and in the public interest, and sometimes backstabbing and serving individual agendas. So when she’s doing her job well, a good reporter has to juggle competing goals when confronted with a hot piece of news, the sources of which refuse to be publicly named.
You know its serious when the BBC switches programmes and Huw has his dark suit and black tie on. Thoughts and prayers with Her Majesty the Queen. pic.twitter.com/APE237FHJJ

I hope that Queen Elizabeth recovers. If she does not, then may her family and friends be comforted as they celebrate a very long life.
On this side of the Atlantic, I suspect that Trump is being outed by someone who helped him in the hope of avoiding trouble. It would not be the first time that someone acted against a former ally to avoid possible jail time.
TFG has to worry about this case and the consequences are grave. TFG already ruined an Israeli operation against ISIS with a casual leak from the White House. Extradition requests are possible. If I was a leader of a foreign nation referred to in the files, I would push for extradition.
BBC has changed their header to black, and their anchors have switched to black suits and ties.

Wow... I just had the opportunity to review an internal poll for a Congressional race that shouldn't be competitive. Kevin McCarthy will not be Speaker next year.
