It's a Big Pile
Author: BobR    Date: 03/20/2024 13:06:11

The 2024 campaign season is in full swing. The primaries are pretty much over (for the presidential race - don't sleep on the local and state races). Now comes the big push.

Financially, one would think a self-described "billionaire" would have no trouble with cash flow. Even though Biden's "war chest" is much bigger, that was before the half-billion dollar judgement against him for fraud and tax evasion. This is where it becomes clear that he is basing his personal wealth on his company's real estate assets, and not his personal bank account.

Now he's in a real bind. Even the highest-end bond companies won't cover his ass... ets ..., supposedly because they have a $100M upper limit. The reason for the bond is to meet the judgement while he appeals it. He says he has to post bond before he can appeal the judgement, but that's just not true.

Anyone who's been half paying attention knows that TFG never pays for anything, and just ignores demands and uses the courts to stall. This has been a double-edged sword for him. Now the only lawyers willing to risk working for free (pro-bono for a supposed billionaire?) are either bottom-tier and/or those trying to make a name for themselves.

So now he's in a position where he might have to sell some real estate assets to pay the bill. Guess what, asshole - that's what other citizens have to do too. You're not special.

All of these self-inflicted legal and financial woes are coming to a head as he tries to become only the second person to serve two non-consecutive presidential terms. His core is squarely behind him, and will forgo their own needs to send a check to a supposed billionaire. The rest of the country - moderate republicans, independents, and (of course) democrats and liberals - see him for what he is.

Turn-out really matters this time around. Citizen tRump needs to be treated like other citizens, and he'll make sure he isn't if he gets back into the White House. We can't allow that to happen, if we value our democracy.

Good morning, bloggers!!!

I fear that Citizen tRump will find that money does not solve all problems. If pride goes before a fall,, TFG will likely leave a deep ditch behind him. The question I have is how much damage he will do along the way.
