It's the Stupid, Stupid
Author: BobR    Date: 06/04/2025 13:19:45

When you think of the current maladministration, what word or phrase comes to mind? Incompetent?... Anti-American?... Mostly I think of 4-letter words best left unsaid. Still, as Forrest Gump's mother says: "Stupid is as stupid does". Ultimately, it seems that blind fealty and callous disregard are the main qualifications for a job there.

Some people see through him. Take Volodymyr Zelensky, for instance. He was bullied in the Oval Office by both Yam Tits and JD Couch. He knows that Putin has Marmalade Mussolini in his back pocket, so he decided not to share plans to decimate Russia's bombing capabilities:
The White House however has declined to comment on the attack—with an administration source confirming to NewsNation on Sunday that Trump was not informed about the operation before it had taken place.

While no official reason has been given for the snub, it comes just months after the U.S. announced it would stop sharing military intelligence with Ukraine unless progress was made on peace talks. Trump’s longtime fondness for Vladimir Putin and public dislike of Zelensky is also likely a key factor in Kyiv’s reluctance to share information with the President.

Well duh. The Russia love-fest continues with former advisor and homeless man cosplayer Steve Bannon saying Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) should be arrested for supporting Ukraine:
MAGA insider and former Trump White House chief strategist Steve Bannon said Monday that Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.), one of Kyiv’s strongest backers in Congress, should be “arrested” if he doesn’t stop traveling overseas and “stirring it up” in Ukraine.

Bannon expressed his frustration over Ukraine’s stunning drone attack on Russia’s strategic bombing fleet, which destroyed 40 aircraft deep inside Russian territory, giving Ukrainian forces a potential morale boost.

Bannon said the White House should condemn the military strike and crack down on Graham’s diplomacy. The senator applauded Ukraine’s resourcefulness in pulling off a successful attack Sunday.

In case it wasn't clear that the Orange Menace demands loyalty over everything else, new federal workforce hirees will have to provide an essay proving loyalty to MAGA:
New hiring guidelines from the U.S. Office of Personnel Management reveal that government applicants will have to answer four 200-word essay questions to be considered for a job in the Trump administration.

Here are the questions:
1. How has your commitment to the Constitution and the founding principles of the United States inspired you to pursue this role within the Federal government? Provide a concrete example from professional, academic, or personal experience.

2. In this role, how would you use your skills and experience to improve government efficiency and effectiveness? Provide specific examples where you improved processes, reduced costs, or improved outcomes.

3. How would you help advance the President’s Executive Orders and policy priorities in this role? Identify one or two relevant Executive Orders or policy initiatives that are significant to you, and explain how you would help implement them if hired.

4. How has a strong work ethic contributed to your professional, academic or personal achievements? Provide one or two specific examples, and explain how those qualities would enable you to serve effectively in this position.

What does loyalty over competence get you? A FEMA boss who doesn't know America has a hurricane season.

The stupid is apparently a feature - not a bug.

135 days done; 1326 to go.

English translation:

"I swear by God this holy oath
that I shall render unconditional obedience
to the Leader of the United States and people,
Donald J. Trump, supreme commander of the armed forces,
and that as a brave soldier I shall at all times be prepared
to give my life for this oath."

When the oath became law in July 1935, civilian officials would swear a similar oath.

Another step down the road.

Hello, bloggers!!!!

I fear that we have a long road ahead of us. There will be more pain and suffering.

As of today, I feel less optimistic about our future than on November 4, 2024. I feel less safe and will look around for danger as I do such things as go to my synagogue or attend a protest.

What?!?!

Bannon says Musk and Republicans in Congress are lying about the deficit numbers in their budget, and the only way to reduce the debt significantly is to increase taxes on the wealthy: “You’re going to have to raise taxes.”

Trump is about as likely to raise taxes on the rich as he is to replace Project 2025 with the policies of the British Labour Party. Which is only slightly more likely than Pope Leo XIV stepping off of a flying saucer in the middle of Comiskey Park during a White Sox game to throw out the first pitch.
