June 19, 1865 the word finally reached Galveston that all slaves were free. President Lincoln signed the Emancipation Proclamation about three years earlier. 900 days to be exact. I will leave this link to tell you why. It took until June 17, 2021 for President Biden to sign it into federal law, making it our 11th national holiday. It was far from overdue.

Slavery was once legal, but it is no longer. Today is a reminder that legality does not mean morality. We still need to get into good trouble for all the people who cannot.

Hello, bloggers!!!!

Today, as we remember an end to legalized slavery in this country, let us resolve to protect our hard-earned rights.

Perhaps it will be said of our time that the American people ultimately chose a rebirth of freedom over submitting to tyranny.

Early this morning, SpaceX Starship 36 exploded during routine testing and NASA made this compilation video of it.

This is a perfect metaphor for Musk's time in government.

Another rapid, unscheduled, dissasembly, eh?

Seems like they're not put together too well in the first place.

Gotta love NASA - but they forgot the appropriate 70s dance soundtrack for it.
