From now until next Wednesday we will be inundated with 2025 wrap ups. Think we can all tell the year sucked on the national and world stage.
Lets try to eek out whatever positivity, joy, good vibes, and so on.
I'll start.
* While I got behind on my crocheted temperature blanket it still re-sparked my enjoyment of the craft. I plan on finishing it up in January and want to do more hand crocheted projects in 2026.
* Also finished my Goodreads Challenge, been in a reading slump and it was nice to achieve that little goal.
* On a professional level I got a few steps closer to conquering my first OHSA certificate in Safety.
I'm sure sure I've missed other small goals but that's ok. Onward and upward in 2026.
What small (big or medium) things did you do this year?

Let's see.
Trump is still President.
My lovely seasonal job in suburbia betrayed me; or rather, Mass Unemployment did, when we didn't get any payments for TEN WEEKS and nearly got evicted. (It's better now.)
I am nearly out of the Scouting business; I'm no longer youth-facing and only do kitchen work with the Silver Beaver Cafe.
But....I settled on some better things to do next year.
I've just become a Masonic Ambassador for the 4th District - that is the liaison between lodges in the District and Grand Lodge, and the first point of contact for prospective candidates.
After a few years of languishing but pressing on, I've decided to ramp up my language studies. Found a delightful course that has been working for me, feel like I'm making progress again. I plan on buying the "Pro" edition for the New Year.
I'm going to make music again. I'm not physically playing anymore, but I have decided to start working on my own EDM and Chillout music. For Christmas, I downloaded FL Studio, and messing around yesterday already recorded my first beats!
Finally, I'm out of my year-long Scouting funk, and will be returning to my lifetime role, getting back to the Commissioner Corps. I am still registered as such, and am the longest-serving Commissioner in the Council. (Through THREE mergers now, all the way back to 1988!)
