Cracks in the Damn

I hope everyone is recovering from their St. Patrick's Day revelries. It's the one day a year that we remember our Irish heritage, while the Orange Taint misgenders the president of Ireland. The Gropenfuhrer continues to decline mentally, act more erratically, and alienate members of his own party.

The unprovoked attacks on Iran and sabre rattling with NATO have definitely stirred things up, especially in an election year, and House Republicans are not having it:
Rep. Don Bacon (R-NE) warned President Donald Trump that the Republican Party will be “destroyed” in a “civil war” if he in any way tries to leave or break up NATO.

Bacon joined CNN’s Kaitlan Collins on The Source on Tuesday, where he made it clear to the president that there is a “loss of trust” between the U.S. and its NATO allies and a lot of “work” needs to be done to repair that relationship.

“Is [Trump] wrong when he says that he can leave NATO without Congress?” Collins asked Bacon.

“He’s wrong,” Bacon replied.

[...]

Trump raged at NATO on Tuesday through Truth Social after his plea for them to join the U.S.-Israeli war against Iran was rejected. The president replied by calling the alliances a “one-way street” and claiming that the U.S. now doesn’t actually “need” their help.

That bastion of liberal ideology Newsmax ( ) isn't happy with the creeping fascism either:
Right-wing political commentator Michael Savage has begged the Trump administration to call it a day in Iran.

He said he thought the military had gotten a “little bit out of control,” and urged his viewers to put pressure on President Donald Trump to pull out of the fight in the Middle East.

[...]

“My friends listen to me,” he said on The Savage Nation on Sunday. “We all have to start pressuring this administration to call it a success and end this before it gets much worse. That’s my opinion. I think we cannot afford a wider war. The world can’t afford a wider war. And I will tell you right now, if the midterm elections were held today, it would be all over for the Republican Party. The American people hate war. Never forget that.”

Even down in red country Floriduh, they are not having the fascist rhetoric:
The University of Florida says it's deactivating the campus College Republicans as a registered student group after being notified that some members engaged in antisemitism.

The deactivation effort at the University of Florida campus marks the second time this month that a public university in Florida has taken action against a Republican group accused of being involved in racist or anti-Semitic behavior.

Earlier this month, Florida International University in Miami launched an investigation into a group chat started by an official with the Miami-Dade chapter of the Republican Party that included violently racist slurs, anti-Semitic comments and misogynistic language. The chat involved students and several top conservative leaders at Florida International University.

Officials at the University of Florida said over the weekend that they had been informed by the Florida Federation of College Republicans that the federation had disbanded the Gainesville campus' chapter after determining that some members had “engaged in a pattern of conduct that violated its rules and values, including a recent anti-Semitic gesture.”

How long before Pedo McYamTits decides to pull federal funding for the college until the group is reinstated? Keep your eyes on this one...

Day 422... 1037 to go.
