That's what Spain means as it tells the USA that their airspace is closed to our military. While I agree with Spain, it is still hard for me as a US citizen to read. Our allies are turning their backs on us one by one, understandably so. The Guardian reports:
The move, first reported by El País newspaper and confirmed by the defence minister on Monday, comes after Madrid said the US could not use jointly operated military bases in the southern European country for operations related to the war.

“We don’t authorise either the use of military bases or the use of airspace for actions related to the war in Iran,” the minister, Margarita Robles, told reporters.

“I think everyone knows Spain’s position. It’s very clear,” she added, calling the war “profoundly illegal and profoundly unjust”.

The closure will force military planes, including those based in the UK and elsewhere in Europe, to bypass Spain en route to targets in the Middle East except in emergencies.
In other words, this illegal action was by choice. Spain will not further the aggression over its skies.

Meanwhile, on this side of the pond:

Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent is on Fox & Friends riffing about war strategy, because nobody in the Trump administration has real job duties beyond going on TV and fluffing the leader

Spain makes sense-- our government does not.

Did you see the stories about the E-3 Sentry that Iran blew up?

It's literally irreplaceable. It's a 707, Boeing stopped making them decades ago.

There is no replacement for it in the pipeline.

So much winning.

Good morning, bloggers!!!!

I hope that everyone is well. I tend to leave for work in my time zone before the blog is up.

Things are bad but I am seeing resistance. (I did not attend a rally as my therapist advised me to avoid a situation where I could get accidentally pushed and I was dead tired just as I finished school before spring break.) We have to keep hoping and working.
