I kind of leaked that I received a package since the ATL contingent is sending everyone a card so I wanted to make sure about said package.
They actually showed video of the Firemen trying to break the windows, They were having a very hard time. That is not very cool for the Firemen... seems as tho the bomb proof windows may have put them in more danger. .... it wonderful if a bomb can't get in, but what good is it if the people can't get out???

Hilary....feh. That's maintaining the status quo. I don't have any real issues with Obama, but he just doesn't strike me as a 'meaty' candidate, if you catch my meaning.
Check out Deval Patrick of this Commonwealth, who ran on a pithy saying (Together, we can!) without much substance. There hasn't been much motion in the year he's been in office...but we would have elected anyone with a "D" after their name because it was a slap in the face for ol' Mitt....

Quote by Raine: you know the one thing that the media is forgetting, in the end, we will support our party. That is why we want fair and clean primaries.
The people really want to be able to choose for thier party who they want as the nominee... Sometimes it seems like that is lost in the shuffle.
IT is interesting how the idea of Party is lost in the race to the white housethese days. Seems to me, the base does not want hillary... The base.... They want the war over, they want economic fairness, they want corporatism to end, they want lobbyists out of politics, they want people to be able to step up, they want peopel to be able to unioninze, they want good healthcare, they want to be able to afford to live, and most of all, they want a candidate to LISTEN to what the base wants. They do not want a candidate to dictate to them what they should want, and that is a huge problem I have with hillary.
I personally want a candidate that resounds to the things that are near and dear to me. I want a candidate that is diplomatic, I want a person who I admire. I don't want to have a drink with my president, I want to know that they care about this country and the direction it should go. I WANT my president to be a BETTER person than myself.

In the spirit of starting anew, a business group and the city's sanitation department are inviting New Yorkers to shred their bad memories of 2007.
Everything from photos of ex-lovers to lousy report cards will be fair game when the Times Square Alliance and the New York Department of Sanitation set up shredders in the Times Square Visitors Center for an hour on Dec. 28.
Recycling bins will be available for items that can't be shredded, like embarrassing fashion mistakes, annoying CDs and irresistible — and fattening — chocolate chip cookies. The organizers say they'll also provide stationery for passers-by to jot down memories they wish would go away.
A grand prize of $250 will be awarded to the person deemed to be most creative in letting go of old baggage.
Better get there by noon: At 1 p.m., a sanitation truck will pick up the distasteful, the disturbing, the downright depressing — and cart it all away.

The incandescent light bulb, one of the most venerable inventions of its era but deemed too inefficient for our own, will be phased off the U.S. market beginning in 2012 under the new energy law just approved by Congress. Although this will reduce electricity costs and minimize new bulb purchases in every household in America, you may be feeling in the dark about the loss of your old, relatively reliable source of light. Here's a primer on the light bulb phase-out and what will mean to you:

Perry Kucinich, 52, was found dead in his home in the 4100 block of East 71st Street.
His brother Larry found him about 9 a.m. There were no signs of violence, officials said. The Cuyahoga County Coroner is performing an autopsy this hour.
Their brother, Dennis Kucinich, is a U.S. Representative from Ohio's 10th District. He is running for president.
As soon as we have something official from the campaign it will be posted here.
We, the Dennis Kucinich supporters, constituents, staff, volunteers, express our deepest sympathies to him and his wife and family at this time.

Quote by TriSec: JACKSONVILLE-- Rescue crews are responding to a huge explosion on New Berlin and Faye Road in north Jacksonville, according to FLORIDA TODAY news partner First Coast News.
First Coast News cameras saw a ball of fire shooting up into a huge cloud of black smoke. Callers near the scene say the explosion shook their cars.
One caller who works at the JEA power plant nearby says officials told him it was a chemical explosion and workers are being evacuated.
Other witnesses have called First Coast News and said they were also told to get out.
A spokesperson for the Holiday Inn on New Berlin road says their front doors were blown off their hinges and that they can smell the smoke. She says the smoke as a strange odor, but that they have not yet been told to evacuate.
