BOO!

Scary stuff out there these days. And I'm not talking about serial murderers or terrorists or prehistoric monsters reawakened by evil mad scientists or deranged meth-addicted gang members bent on killing your family for pocket change. I'm talking about current political candidates out there asking you to vote them into office!

I'm talking about people that want to see you, or perhaps your loved ones, dead or at the very least miserably unhappy. Like, for example, Randall Terry. Yes, he of the "Pro-Life" movement is running as a Democrat. Nope, that is not a typo. Democrat. I rather doubt he'll win the nomination since I'm fairly sure the Dems already have their candidate.

Here is just one scary factoid about Randall; he is adamant about saving the unborn because, "abortion is murder", and against Gods will. But he will happily plunge the needle into a man sentenced to death by other men. Why one is considered murder and the other isn't has still never been explained to me; and things I don't understand, scare me.

What's also scary about this, besides the hypocrisy, are the absolutely freaky ads that this man puts out with horrible (and fake) dead aborted babies. I mean.... GROSS. Most people, in fact probably ALL people don't want abortions to happen so why is he torturing us with yucky video's and pictures. EW! I'll gladly sit through the entire SAW movie franchise just to avoid his carnival horror side show.

Now, as a Democrat he is Anti-Choice and he wouldn't be the first Dem to be anti-choice, but certainly he'd be the most outspoken. He is also, (surprise, surprise) anti-gay, saying that marriage between two consenting homo's: "violates Natural Law, and well as the Laws of God. Beyond that, it seeks to legitimize a sinful, self- destructive lifestyle". So, Newt or John McCain sleeping with another woman while their respective wives are infirm doesn't seem to fall under the "sinful, self destructive lifestyle" but two men raising a family and sharing their lives together is.

And, if you're not yet scared by a President Terry there is this: after your employer legally discriminates against you because you're a minority you'll be free to get high smoking pot and go fire one of your many unregulated firearms that your armed to the teeth with once you've paid your National Sales Tax on them, then you can continue to home-school your kids while the Nuclear Power plant right next door keeps your home heated.

Oh, and this straight from his platform:
I think everyone who loves freedom should drive a great big, safe, SUV...and everyone who wants us to be slaves to the socialist state should drive an itty- bitty Hyundai.
which really..... what can you say about this?

There are just some scary people out there that seem to want to run for office and... what? Straighten out the government? You've got your nut-jobs that say crazy stuff and think it's perfectly reasonable to have their husbands dress them and coif them all while calling gay's barbarians; or the one's who know they have no chance in hell no matter what party they belong to; or the ones who wear leather gloves and grow strange facial hair and just want there own reality show. But there's also some people that, well, maybe they just don't know how crazy they sound. There is a local Tea Party candidate that actually said they favor an "ethical free market economy". What the hell is that? How do we regulate ethics without any regulation? What happens if Mr. Walmart, for example, decides they don't want to be ethical, they just want to make a shit-load of money. Then what? The local candidate doesn't seem to have an explanation for this nuance.

And so it goes. So much so, that when someone sane pops up onto the political landscape, we eye them with suspicion. Do they have a hidden agenda? Are they going to pop out suddenly scare us with battle cries of "TORT REFORM" or "BUILD A SIX LAYER ELECTRIC FENCE ACROSS THE GRAND CANYON" ..... aaaaghhh!

I'm scared enough as it is.
