Choices... Cookies or the bus?
Author: Raine    Date: 04/19/2012 13:07:30

Where does one go today? Between the latest Mitt Romney gaffs, lies, and not wanting to release his taxes, more attacks on women, another horrible situation in Afghanistan, a new debt deal showdown, Secret Service Scandal, GSA Scandal, and Ted F*cking Nugent It's a difficult choice. It's a difficult choice indeed.

On second thought...

President Obama sits on the famed Rosa Parks bus at the Henry Ford Museum following an event in Dearborn, Mich., April 18 (Pete Souza)

“I just sat in there for a moment and pondered the courage and tenacity that is part of our very recent history but is also part of that long line of folks who sometimes are nameless, oftentimes didn’t make the history books, but who constantly insisted on their dignity, their share of the American dream.”

Via to CNN:
The small town stir began Tuesday at a community center event when Romney paused to take note of the desserts while sitting down at a picnic table.
"I'm not sure about these cookies. They don't look like you made them," Romney said to the woman sitting next to him. "No, no. They came from the local 7-eleven, bakery, or whatever."
These were no ordinary cookies. They were cookies from Bethel Bakery, a beloved local institution:
“Initially, we were incensed that he would think that Bethel Bakery is comparable to the 7-11,” said bakery owner John Walsh, a Republican. Mr. Walsh, whose parents opened the bakery in 1955, said he thinks the comment was made in jest and would like Gov. Romney to try the bakery’s offerings in the future.

But some bitterness remained. “Let him eat cake next time,” Mr. Walsh said.
and there is this from the local report:
"We had a customer on Facebook say, 'Maybe he's just used to eating cookies with diamonds in them,'" said Walsh. "I don't know. We don't offer that yet."
Watch the video at the link, it's a looloo. The attendees were very uncomfortable with the comment.

To be honest, I don't think this is a huge crisis. I do believe it shows (once again) how out of touch Willard really is. How difficult would it have been to have a little grace and show good manners by saying "ThankYou"?

Let him eat cake. I'll be sitting with Obama on the bus. It's better than eating in a Romney Cadillac with Seamus sitting on top....
