If you listen to the GOP rhetoric about mass shootings then you would have to presume that it's all about mental health. Not sure who should feel more offended by that - gun owners for being called mentally unwell or those with mental health issues being called violent mass killers. You know a lot of the time these mass shooters are just assholes with guns and never should have had one, let alone 10-30, to being with. Sometimes evil is just evil.
I've said it before, I am tired and I am frustrated. Palin once teased about how that "hopey changey thing" was going, I have an answer now. Until the GOP stomped it with its giant elephant sized uncaring feet, I had hope. Figured that by 2 years into the Presidents 1st term things would settle down and people would relax. Seven years after being elected I never thought it would get worse, I still have hope for something better but its dwindling.
Its what they want, you know, to snuff out that hope we all had or have. Hope is a power thing. There is a song by the Dixie Chicks that I heard way back during the Katrina telethon. Its stuck with me all these years, its called "I Hope".
"There must be a way to change what's going on No I don't have all the answers"
