Have you heard about this trend of rainbow food or unicorn food? I had not either until until I was watching some baking show and one of the participates proclaimed that she was famous in her town for unicorn hot chocolate. I had to google. Apparently it is a concoction of white chocolate, milk, heavy cream, vanilla and an explosion of anything edible with bright or sparkly colors.



Sure its mostly targeted at kids but adults wanting to escape reality for a bit enjoy them also. And the trend is no longer limited to hot chocolate. Just googling "unicorn food" gave tons of results. Everything is so freaking pretty and magical!












I do have to wonder, is this trend a response to the darkness that we have found around us the last year or so? Is it a push back to try to reclaim some hope? If it is I'm gonna roll with it.
