Feel like pop culture has been warning and preparing us for these pandemics for years. Think my whole bend toward scifi and fantasy was because Poe's Masque of the Red Death was horrifying, mysterious, and elegant. How could a story about a masquerade ball in a castle to lock out the plague not intrigue a kid? It also didn't hurt that on Saturday afternoons was the Creature Double Feature and would play movies like the Vincent Price adaptation.

It's grown from that to Night of the Living Dead, where the military lets a gas escape to reanimate the dead who then go and infect others. And Outbreak, blame it all on the guy smuggling monkeys if you ask me #Istandwiththemonkey. And Contagion, and 28 Days, Andromeda Strain, I am Legend, Cabin Fever, Children of Men, and so much more.
Honestly, I learned more on preparedness from pop culture then I have from the 2 idiots "in charge" .
Stay safe out there, take precautions. Don't forget to keep checking in with
the CDC Coronavirus page, even if the science impair is trying to strangle the message.
The truth finds away to get out.
